I have had episodes of skipped beats ocassionally while in the evening after dinner or at rest with a slow heart rate. Sometimes more than 1 a minute. I have recently (after trying many remedies) found that drinking 2 or 3 large glasses of cold water stops it completely within minutes and sometimes almost instant relief. It seems to work every single time. Makes me think it has something to do with irritation of the esophagus or the weight of the water in my stomach.

Everyone with skipped heartbeats or stomach skipped beats should start with taking magnesium on a regular basis, not less than 600mg and a certain type- you can google it. Secondary, read about iodine deficiency. For some taking magnesium supplement could be all you need, for some more research needed. Just give it time after starting one something, do mot mix with something else to make a proper conclusion.

Lastly, do not take gallbladder out , ever, and remember-GERD is a one diagnosis for all that actually means- we don't know what is wrong with you. Having said all that, in my own experience- I could go for days with not a single skipped beat, and then for seemingly no reason, I start getting it again. The one in a stomach are also get worse when I am lying down. When I started on Iodine, I went several days with no skipped beats whatsoever, but then they are back- will try to increase iodine intake to every day. You have to be careful with it. But magnesium is safe- do your own research. also , for a proper conduction of electrical impulses your body needs fats- 3 tbsp of coconut oil plus proper dosage of omega3 oils should be in every person's diet- this is like drinking water- a must for everyone. If one is afraid of aortic aneurysm- don't - there is no cure or safe medical procedure to fix it, so nothing you can do and worrying is useless- just have faith that everything will be the way it will be.

I have had heart palpitations 15 years that I know of been to the ER multiple times seen dr they all said nothing was wrong and put me on ativan for anxiety I just recently went to a cardiologist and he did blood work up and a stress echo he said the results showed I had a more than perfect heart and passed the stress test with flying colors. I had a a procedure to look into my stomach becouse I read about the relation between hiatel hernia and palps but they said I didnt have a hiatel hernia but I think they missed is there any other tests to tell?

i have this problem also, skip beats with accompanying fatigue, the doctor do not know what is wrong, i deduced it was due to my recent change in meds.
i am currently on #1 telmisartan (for HBP), #2 carvedilol (for SVT), #3 rosuvastatin (for cholesterol) and #4 clopdigogrel (for blood clot prevention).
i have replaced rosuvastatin with atorvastatin for almost two months now. i also replaced clopidogrel with aspirin for about 1 month now.
i went to the doctor to check out what is wrong i am still to claim the results of the remainder of my general checkup including chest xray and holter monitoring results. but i have strong feeling that it is due to the recent changes in meds.
i skipped taking atorvastatin two days ago. i felt the skip beat yesterday but with less frequency and intensity.
i skipped taking aspirin yesterday. and now i am feeling great. its already 6PM here in the Philippines and i have yet to feel the skip beats and fatigue.
thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences, i hope you all feel better.

OMG i may have found the trigger for my PVC: Pollution.
I started riding a scooter to work so this may be the case for me.
google "Suspected association of ventricular arrhythmia with air pollution in a motorbike rider: a case report"
I hope my PVC goes away.
