I'm 16 years old and i first noticed a lump near my belly button about 6 months ago. It has stayed about the same in size, 2 inches or so. It's underneath my skin and when i press on it sometimes it will go away. Its able to be seen sometimes and then other times it's not even there. It painless but can sometimes be tender. For about a month now i've been bloated a lot, even not during my period. I went to a surgeon a couple months ago and the lump wasn't present so he basically did nothing and said to come back if it gets bigger. I thought it was a hernia but i don't understand why it is only seen sometimes....

I'm also kind of afraid to go back to the surgeon because it might not be seen when i go, then i'll make a fool of myself again.

I'm hoping someone here can help....
