I had a tt in May of 07 and am trilled with the results. To follow up and tighten my abdominal look, I had liposuction of the flanks and lower abdomen 8 days ago. Everything went well; I didn't even need pain meds when I got home. It has been over a week, and I have noticed my abdomen is swollen and very hot to the touch. I do not have a temperature. I have on a compression garment, but my abdomen is larger now than prior to surgery. I have a tearing, burning sensation in the lower abdomen and it is hard in some places. I believe there may be fluid/seroma because when I lie on either side, I can feel relief on the upside of the abdomen, but increased pain on the downside where I believe the fluid is settling. Is there anything I can do naturally to relief or cure this problem? I am scheduled to see my doctor Tuesday. Can I expect drainage? Should I be taking antibiotics?

Hi. Just read your post...although it was posted quite a while ago.
I had lipo done 1 week ago. My stomach is getting hard in places and when I lie down on either side there seems to be fluid that catches in the lower areas. I am wondering if there is still fluid in my stomach area. I also have a metallic taste in my mouth which I have been reading about is a side effect of the Lidocaine used in the local anasthetic. Wonder if I will need to have this fluid taken out.
Could you tell me if this is what happened to you?
