For starters, I am a healthy 28 year-old-woman. I have never had any health problems or surgies. I've never had any troubles with my bowels.
About six months ago, I experienced extreme lower stomach pain- severe cramps. It was far worse than child birth and most definitely the worst pain I had ever experienced. I sat in the bathroom, I wasn't sure if I had to puke or poop or what. After sitting in there for awhile, i just wanted to lay in bed so I started to walk out of the bathroom but I ended up waking up in my own vomit on the floor. I passed out. That was the end of that episode and the first time
I had experienced anything like it until today. I woke up at 6am with severe cramps. I went to the bathroom and sat on the toilet, moaning in pain. Eventually, I pooped. It felt so weird, like I felt it move down my rectum. The scariest part was looking in the toilet. It was nothing but a HUGE blood clot. It didn't look like poop at all. I've never seen or heard of anything like it. A few hours later, I went to the bathroom again but this time I took a bag with me. I defecated in the bag. Again, it was nothing but blood and A LARGE AMOUNT. At this point, I knew I had to go to the doctor. I went to an express care first. The doctor really freaked me out. After seeing the bag I brought with me, he was VERY concerned. He told me to immidiately go to the emergency room. He said I could have internal bleeding, cancer, etc. he said it was possible but no way thought it was hemmhroids. I took his advice and went straight to the ER. I was admitted at 3:30pm and discharged at 10:00pm. They did bloodwork, a urine sample, catscan, stuck their finger in me to feel for hemorrhoids, an ultrasound of my lower abdomen where I was experiencing the cramps, and also an ultrasound of the inside of my uterus using a wand that they stuck inside of me. EVERYTHING CAME BACK NORMAL! According to the tests, I have nothing wrong with me. I haven't passed any blood or stools since I pooped in the bag around 2pm but I am still experiencing cramps and a constant pain in my lower stomach. It even hurts to push on my lower stomach. My cramps are no where near as bad as they were this morning around 6am but they are still awful--- I literally scrunch up my face and start breathing hard to cope. They gave me pain medicine via IV at the ER but it didn't touch my pain. It's 12:19am and I am currently laying in bed in severe pain, wondering what in the heck could be wrong with me. I have to follow up with a gastrointologist (excuse misspelling) Monday and schedule a colonoscopy. Hoping I get answers after the colonoscopy, yet also hoping it shows I have nothing wrong with me and all is well. I just figured I would share my experience. I'm shocked to see that there are so many others that have experienced the same or similar problems and also got no answers. Please excuse my grammar or any misspellings,,,as I type this, I am in so much pain!!!!!!! If anyone would like to share their experience with me or give me ideas as to what could be going on with me, feel free to contact me.

It looks like it has been around 5 days since you posted this so I hope you are feeling better now and possibly found what is causing your pain. I did find the website which may be helpful as it explains that the color of the blood could possibly explain the proximity of the problem. I am a 64 year old man and had posted earlier in here that my pain was mostly in the abdominal area. Like you, my Doctors couldn't find anything wrong. Years ago, I had a bloody stool and it scared me to death but they found nothing wrong. They said it could have been food poisoning. I was having terrible abdomen pains about twice a year which caused me to get chills to where I was shaken and had to put on more clothes or sometimes a very high fever and typically they would both cause me to pass out. After several years of going through this pain and doctors not finding anything, my doctor asked if I had taken metamucil. She said it was all natural and helps with bowel movements (softens the stool). I started taking a glass of this every morning (teaspoon of the powder mix) with half glass of water and it has helped to prevent hardened stools which can cause bleeding and can be very painful as it is trying to pass through the colon. I am amazed at how just adding this routine to a healthy diet has made a world of difference and I have not had one of those attacks since I started taking it. I'm not saying it is a cure-all for everything, but it certainly helped me. You are a young lady with a great long life ahead of you so if your doctor hasn't found an answer yet, I would recommend you try the metamucil (make sure your Doc is okay with it). I sincerely wish you all the best and hope you find a solution soon.

I just had an episode exactly as you described. I passed out from the pain, while in the bathroom, and cut my head wide open. I woke up in a pool of blood, and I have 14 stitches now. This is not the first time this has happened to me, it is the first time I have sustained an injury from passing out though. I've had these, "spells", all my life, but I thought it was fairly normal. When I go to get my stitches removed, I am going to ask the doctor to diagnose what may be causing this. I'm relieved to find this site and know that other people experience this sort of thing. I'm now worried about this happening again. I now have info to research and maybe help me with a diagnosis. Thank you, I will post updates if I find out anything new that may apply here.

The pain I experience in my uterus is so excruciating that I got all clammy like you said, white as a ghost and then bam! Next thing I know, I'm waking up face down on my chin on the bathroom floor. It took me a second to come to, and I never remember actually passing out. It was very scary and my mom suggest looking up 'vaso vagal' because she has that too. Hope it helps!

I have had similar symptoms, and it seems it is idiopathic anaphylaxis, caused by Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). I now take over-the-counter H1 and H2 antihistamines (cetirizine and ranitidine) in small doses daily, and have not had a bad attack since. If one seems to be coming on anyway (or if I suspect it), I take a full dose of Benadryl. I keep liquid Benadryl in both bathrooms, as my attacks start with bowel urgency. Taken at the onset of symptoms, it takes about 5 minutes to start working - it has been a godsend. I hope this helps some of you!
