I am faced with the advisability of having an angiography.
The CTA will require contrast dye for which I need to be medicinally prepared since I've had an anaphylactic shock response to previous dye.
I wonder whether it would be just as accurate to have an MRA which would not require this preparation as well as removing the negatives of exposure to radiation. I have had a good deal of radiation for many years and am at high risk for ovarian cancer.
This test is meant to be purely diagnostic.
Thank you for any knowledgeable response.
