My doctors suspect that I have temporal arteritis. I have had terrible headaches and loss of vision. I am due to have a temporal arteritis biopsy and I am really scared of it. Can anyone put my mind at rest and tell me that the procedure is not terribly painful? Because I hate pain. Thank you so much.
The good news is that your temporal arteritis biopsy will only take a few minutes, if it is carried out correctly. The bad news is that a negative temporal arteritis biopsy result does not rule out temporal arteritis, so further intervention might be needed. But the temporal arteritis biopsy is not too bad, don't worry.
