I have been suffering untold misery for about two and a half to Three years now. I have had uncountable boils and abscesses about my body and no one has been able to point a finger in the right direction.

I got to thinking about a friend from years ago who kept getting similar re-occurring infections and it was eventually pinned on a food allergy.

I started thinking what have I been consuming what I did not years before?

A friend introduced me to salad prepared with Lemon and olive oil and I always now squeeze fresh lemon on my salad.

This was about the same period as when the infections started! I have read that the lemon causes the release of the lgE antibodies within the body. Our immune system uses lgE antibodies to fight off intruding substances.
Lemon is said to cause this chain reaction of chemicals....is it worth a statement that this is what just might be causing my infections?

Has this been heard of?

Can it cause accesses and boils due to the chemical release confusing my lgE?

I would love to know...I am now taking lemons out of my diet?
Time will now tell and i will be mentioning this to my doctor on Wednesday.

Thank you and look forward to your earliest response?

I think it is not because of lemon. You can do following things

1. Note down the food which you ate today
2. Don't eat that food next day. Eat different food. Note down what you ate.
3. Daily you note down your food.
4. Also note down the result of allergies, When it is decreases or increases.

You can get your result in few days.

I'm extremely allergic to lemons and limes, I have to carry an Epi (epinephrine) Pen with me everywhere. I have friends that have a similar allergy to lemons, limes and oranges. He will be hives and boils just being in the same room if someone is peeling one of those items or even using them to zest with. My suggestion is to see an allergist and they can test you for several allergens to include lemons (you will need to take one with you when your tested). I hope this helps.
