I get what you mean that theres things you can do to help but I think also some people just end up lucky and arent as affected as others. They too will stay out of the sun and use moisturiser but then aging comes along and it seems like nothing you do can make a difference. So it often isnt a choice to look bad, its just forced on us so no wonder we feel bad.

I know exactly how you are saying. I don’t like looking in the mirror. When I get dressed I feel ok but then I look in the mirror. I have an old lady butt now- where it blends into my fat back. I had a daughter at 41, I bounced back and looked great afterwards. The past 3-4 months everything has gone to hell. My skin, dry wrinkled, I have lost all muscle that I had and I don’t care if I have sex again- really odd for me. I am married and have had a great sex life with my husband- so it isn’t that it was not good to begin with.

Totally agree-we dont need platitudes about inner beauty and wisdom, or endless condescending articles telling us how ageing is a wonderful blessing and then judging us if we dont agree. We need access to surgery and treatments what will actually fix the problem. But no, all we get offered on the NHS is therapy and antidepressants. Only young people matter enough to get surgery if theyre unhappy with their looks. I guess they are more valuable than us.

Yeah-so much for all that 'ageing is beautiful' c**p that the delusional pro ageing crowd want to force us to believe. They would rather tell themselves any old lie than admit the truth and they certainly dont like it when people try to point out the truth that aging sucks and is ugly.

This is a bit way out there but thought I would mention it just in case it helps anyone. Look up a book called 'feel good no matter what' by Michael James. No its not yet another pep talk about getting yourself to accept yourself the way you are. Its about the mind body connection and how you can use it to actually look younger! Sounds crazy but it costs nothing and if you look up 'law of attraction centre' there are some success stories. Yea I know people will be skeptical but also look up Bruce Lipton and David Sinclair for the scientific view on this. Also google 'confidence evoke' on Reddit's Law of Attraction forum and youll find a story of how someone used this technique and got great results! Im new to this and just starting out but yes, I did actually notice a difference to my hands and my eyesight got better. Still learning the best way to do it so cant give more results at this point Im afraid but will def come back and update

Right, so you want us to just 'forget' about the debilitating symptoms like crushing depression, fatigue, brain fog, night sweats, insomnia etc etc. OK then, Ill do that, right after I just go and walk on hot coals and 'ignore' the searing pain and burning. Its interesting isnt it , how there are wig charities for women who have lost their hair from cancer but not a single charity offering women facelifts. Everyone understands and sympathises with the ones who've lost their hair, they are allowed to feel bad. And Im not complaining about that-I totally get how they feel and I think its great that they get that support. But what I dont like is how theyre allowed to feel bad about losing their hair but we arent allowed to feel bad about losing our looks. Both are 'superficial.' I guess the argument would be that not everyone loses their hair but everyone ages. But that doesnt mean that ageing is any less distressing. I just dont get how people can be so ignorant. If I was any good at business I would start a charity but sadly Im not

I feel just like you, I was gorgeous most of my life and not at 54 I feel like a potato. … dusty, boring, fat and lumpy. I hate what I look like and have a bad back so exercise isn’t happing, “just walk” it will make you loose weight and feel younger… BS. I walked for an hour 5 days a week for a year and a half and starved myself only to loose 20 pounds and gain it right back when I stopped because of nerve pain. I absolutely hate every day I have to see my reflection… I do not know how to accept this reality and be happy. I loved every second being sexy and beautiful and there is no way to get it back. I play the lottery hoping to win just so I can have liposuction. Every day sucks.

Unbelievable but a scientist called David Sinclair has shown that ageing is NOT inevitable and that the body has the capability to rejuvenate itself. But we dont have to wait for his miracle pill (which is in development). I have found that using anti aging subliminals (I used one from a YT channel called 'Light Subs' and using something called the 'Law of attraction' and 'manifesting' I am starting to reverse ageing! If you lookup 'how to manifest a change in appearance' on YT you will find lots of videos. Also there is a website called 'Law of Attraction centre' which has some great stories about using this method to anti age and they also have coaching. It sounds crazy and too good to be true, but amazingly Im seeing it start to work! One very important thing though is that you have to somehow find a way to feel good-you dont have to love yourself the way you are, but you have to find a way to take to focus off your current body and feel excited about how you wan to look. I do this for 10 mins every day while listening to a sub and feeling excited about being you, and looking at old pics of myself and getting excited at the thought of looking like that again. Then I feel good during the day, and every now and then will think about being young again and get excited. Dont expect too much too soon-give it a couple of weeks -and when you do see changes they will be very small, so that you will think its a trick of the light, or just s 'good face day.'
