is in any way harmful for the esophagus, the stomach and the teeth?

Loading...

Apple cider vinegar can be harmful for the teeth for sure, because the acetic acid can corrode the enamal. Do not brush your teeth immediately after eating foods containing vinegar. I like to chew sugarless gum immediately after eating sour foods. The calcium carbonate in the gum will help to neutralize the acid and the act of chewing will stimulate saliva flow to flush out the excess acid. Vinegar can be harmful to the esophagus and the stomach if both organs have been damaged by acid reflux disease. Eating alkaline foods such as milk and tofu immediatly afterwards will help neutralize the acid making it harmless.
