My father is 59 years old and I could swear that nothing will happen to him , regarding his health, but it looks like it is not so. He will have to go for atherectomy procedure next week and I have to admit that I am worried for him. It looks like he does not completely understand the severity of the situation. Are there any adverse reactions to atherectomy procedure?

Well, this is not a simple procedure, but concerning other heart problem possibilities, we should consider this a mild one, especially if there is not a heart attack involved. You should make him understand the situation, mainly because of the post op period, when he should not lift anything heavy, avoid stairs, bicycle, cars etc. There are many things he should take care of and he has to learn them right away.
