I got banding done about a 3 1/2 week ago. The first week was bad due to the frequent urge to use the bathroom and medium level pain. So i went to see the doctor and he told me i had an anal papilla that was hypertrophied. So he prescribed Canasa to settle the inflmmation. Canasa worked for me until one late night drinking. The frequent urge was gone but I developed severe pain similar to the one i had when i had anal fissure in the past. So the doctor gave me Celebrex to reduce the inflammation and the pain. He told me the pain is probably due to the inflammation around the scar from banding. When I stick my finger deep into the rectum, i can feel the scar tissue. Is this normal and will the pain go away with time?
