Hi, my friend is 52 years old female and she was complaining on strong headaches in last several weeks. Last week she had epileptic seizure and she was transferred to the hospital after that. I was very scared for her because I thought that she has brain tumor but after all analysis her doctor told her that she has basilar aneurism. I would like to knw something more about it.

Hi, aneurysm is pathological dilatation of artery where wall of blood vessel lose its elastic component and may be broken. Location your friend's aneurysm is pretty delicate because it is placed on the base of the scull where many blood vessels are. Because of possibility of breaking this aneurysm have to be operated and removed while health parts of artery will be connected.
