I was surprised to hear how long everyone's tubes stayed in. Mine was removed 6 days after my surgery and I am off pain meds and already standing up straight, picking up my son (for short periods of time) and shopping and walking everywhere. As of today it has been 8 days since my surgery and today is the first time that I merely bandaged my wounds and put on my clothes without the binder. Its just so constricting and uncomfortable. Has anyone tried this so early and have there been complications? So far I feel normal other than my tummy feels tight as a drum, but the feeling of tightness reminds me of stretching when I was pregnant, but I can tand stand up straight. Please give me your comments on whether I should be getting my binder back on as soon as possible. I am massaging scar zone into my stitchings and new belly botton and using gauze and tape over them, and then just putting my clothes over that.
