my mom has been getting this thing in her eye for two days now..when her eyes are open she can see a black spot at one side of her left eye like a butterly flying and its always there didnt stop showing and she said today when she was out in the sun the dot which moves in front of her eye changed colors to brown or green sometimes with sunlight..what could this be just not sleeping enough or is it something serious? anyone who experienced this? any idea wt it might be? any advice would be great. thanks.

hi, a lot of people notice what are called floaters in their field of vision and they are usually harmless. occasionally following a bang to the head or certain types of medication they can appear and can sometimes be a symptom of a detatched retina. if this is the case then your mum would need to see her physician asap in order to rule out any serious problems and be referred to an eye specialist. hope this helps.
