I can empathize with you.  I have recurrent UTIs for about the last 8 years, post menopausal!!  Usually don't like to use antibiotics, I use

D MANNOSE, more fluids, cranberry capsules.  Recently, came down with overactive bladder, frequency, nocturia, AND about a months' worth of

a very bad UTI.  Through all of the above measures, I still had to succumb to an antibiotic:  Ampicillan, seemed to go ok, but low and behold I got the

urgency and frequency back but no infection or so it seems.

I tried PRELIEF AND GOT SO MUCH RELIEF TODAY, I WANTED TO SHOUT IT TO THE ROOFTOPS.  TRY IT!!!!

PRELIEF.COM   ALL NATURAL.  KEEP ME POSTED!

While doing more research on my condition (IC) I found yours and for the first time, am reading my very own experience with doctors, anti-biots that do not work and a lot of "you will learn to live with it", only pain management etc. This is all enuf to throw you into a deep depression that this is what my life will be. Just yesterday I hired a yoga instructor and a nutritionist. Actually the Yoga felt GREAT and she says she can definitely help me decrease the inflamation & pain. The diet is elimination to see if there are trigger foods. Its quite healthy.(goodbye icecream, pizza & chocolate) but I don't mind it if it works. Taking Femdophilus 3 times week orally, and 3x wk vaginally. Luvena 3x wk. Egyptian Magic ointment 2x day. Not in the clear yet but this all in the last 3 days and feeling a bit better. Waiting for Lab tests from last week.

No green tea, no cranberry.. These are very acidic; it's as if you're pouring acid on an open wound!!
Peppermint, chamomille, horsetail, marshmallow root are all soothing. One thing about chammomile tea... If you have allergies to ragweed, pollen, etc.. Chamomille can have an adverse effect!! Estrace cream can help and can rebuild the lining of the urethra.. It is considered safe as compared to oral estrogen. Ask your Gyno for it, although you seem a little young for it. Be careful of the multi vitamins as they may have some irritating things to the bladder in it. Also, try Key- E, it's a vaginal suppository available in the health food store made of vitamin E and coconut oil. This helped me tremendously with vaginal dryness. Feel better soon!!!

I've had ic for a couple years and bovine colostrum has been the only thing that works! First and foremost, do NOT take in capsule form it's only works in powder form when chewed and let dissolve in mouth. I take 1 gram in the morning. It is like clock work when I stop taking it, my ic comes back in a couple weeks. Trust me it worked for me but not a cure, if you stop it comes back. I've tried both Synertek and Douglas labs, they both work but Synertek tastes better.

Good afternoon,

For the last few years I have been dealing with urgency and stress incontinence and was on medication. Well the first of the year when I went for a second opinion because the leakage was getting worse I was informed I needed to have a Urethal mesh installed. I had the procedure done on Monday but when I was leaving the nurse was going over my medication and I had a new one for IC. My husband showed me the pictures of my irriated bladder but the doctor only brief him to have me avoid caffeine etc.... I am sheduled to go to the doctor again on Monday. I am worried because reading I never had any of the pelvic pain or pain during sex. I am hoping he misdiagnosed me because this medication has some terrible side effects

The best colostrum you can get is from ImmuneTree. it's a first-milking, pure bovine colostrum that is third-party tested for purity. The powder form and capsules are the same product, but the powder form is more economical. there has never been any mad cow disease instances from using pure first milking bovine colostrum. When using colostrum, it's important to make sure you get first-milking colostrum so that you are receiving true colostrum and not transitional milk. colostrum is excellent to support/heal the immune system and for healing and regenerating issues of many types. colostrum is an immune system modulator, not a stimulator, which makes it very safe for use for all age groups and numerous conditions. If you research colostrum, you will find the many health benefits of this wonder that is nature's first food going back thousands of years.

I've had recurrent UTIs for the past two years and it's been unbearable until recently. Try

- organic coriander powder steeped tea
- d mannose
- alkaline water
- dr. Bell urinary tract and bladder tablets
- and I've recently visited an Ayurvedic doctor who has prescribed gokshura powder steeped tea and punarnnavasavam liquid to slowly rebuild my immunity, metabolism and eliminate the bad bacteria.

How long does Interstitial Cystitis last? I had the holmium done 4 months ago by Dr. Lineman (a fine doctor). My question is how long does it take to not have to use the pads? Thanks.
