I have been sick for 2 weeks with uncontrollably diarrhea, and during this time I also consistently have a bleach smell which burns my nose and the back of my throat. This makes my nostrils flare. I have IBS which is normally constipation. Saw my Dr last week and he started me on Alosetron which has only worstened my diarrhea. Now he is starting me on 2 antibiotics, however he has no suggestions or answers about the odor I am smelling. I did read about the Helicobactor but my symptoms do not seem to involve listed symptoms other than diarrhea. Anyone out there that can relate?

Yes. I got sick with (possibly covid) some type of super flu...had me in bed for a week. Two weeks later, I still have that bleach smell in my nose (the same one you get when you clean with bleach and inhale the fumes...)

I had covid in late Nov., early Dec. 2021. I lost sense of smell. In the last 2 weeks I had the smell of smoke. Now it is a feeling of bleach in my nose and eyes. It is burning and making my eyes hurt. It is driving me crazy.
