I had similar bleeding for about 30mins through a black spot on my scrotum (hemangiomas). My doctor said I am not indicative of any disease. I think this is pretty normal.

Sitting on the couch 2 nights ago. Felt something weird and reached down there with my hand and came up bloody. It was 9pm and I applied pressure with paper towels for 2 hours (they kept soaking through. Went to bed at 11 as it seemed to stop. Packed it with a thick wad of paper towels. Woke up at 430am to pee and the paper towel wad was 100 percent saturated. There was a 10 inch saturated puddle of wet blood on the bed, and that was with a thick cotton mattress pad. Must have lost a pint of blood. Wife said time to go to the ER. Applied pressure and by the time the ER doc saw me the bleeding had finally stopped. $200, 8 hours of bleeding andit was finally over.

My husband is the kinda man that likes his hairs pulled from his boys with my teeth. So I pulled a hair and noticed this little bump and and I poped it. Let's just say I am done pulling hair. There was blood everywhere. Google how to stop a bleed and found somthing that said salt and water tried that didnt work freaked out, then it said tea bags, this just happens to be the night i ran out of tea, so dugged in the garbage to find a old tea bag, now he is freaking out, he then told me he feels faint and is gonna pass out, now we both freaking out running around like chickens with our heads cut off. Then we floured the nuts (yes real white flour) then tooth paste, he said that sting a bit, all the while the bleeding gushed. So we washed the salt water dirty tea bag floured fresh breath nuts off and head for the first aide kit in a panic. Finally i just googled exactly what happen and found this site. After we placed three pillows under his butt and began laughing from other post particular the gentleman that does shower regular yet jerks off very regular the bleeding stop. Good luck gents. Do not try this at home.

Makes sense. I'm going to try it NOW. I was getting ready for bed and looked down to see a blood bath taking place. This is the second time, thought it would never stop. Hope this works.

Reading this post cracked me up a lot.. when it happened for the first time, i freaked the fk out as well, thinking the worst i just went into full on panic.. gone through tissues and wasting cold water washing down the blood for almost an hour and it just didn't work.. and then i just said fk it and for some reason thought "getting aroused would probably divert the blood traffic to the milk spitting dragon" and as the blood rushed to the one eyed monster, the bleeding stopped right away, never imagined a little towel rub can cause to lose so much blood.. now i handle the balls with more care than the royal family handles the crown jewels lol.. So Bottomline...  if same thing happens to anyone out there, just wake your snake (& keep it in salute for 4-5 mins lol so the spot closes off), would stop it instantly and wash off.. no need to waste other stuff..

btw i can't believe someone in comments actually applied toothpaste xD wtf..

This just happened to me, i was sat on the toilet and I felt a spot that was almost black ... I picked it and it started to bleed and wouldn't stop. So I eventually did the old shaving trick when you cut yourself shaving, I blotted it with a small peice toilet paper. Did the trick.

Same thing here.  I am 46 and have a few small, dark red/almost black "dots" on the surface of my testicles.  They are about 1 mm wide and slightly elevated.  Since I shave my testicles on a regular basis, I thought that they might be the result of "nicks" over the years.  After reading everyone elses posts, they are apparently small, benign (harmless) angionomas.  According to Wiki..."Angiomas are a frequent occurrence as patients age, but they might be an indicator of systemic problems such as liver disease. They are not commonly associated with malignancy."

Well, this morning as I was showering with my loofa, I must have nicked one of these buggers and I started to bleed like a damn stuck pig!  It was amazing how much a tiny little scrape could generate so much blood!  I applied pressure by pinching for a while, and no help.  Just kept bleeding.  I then used a small fold of paper towel around the spot and put a paper clamp (alligator clip) around it for more pressure.  I have had these in the past, and they always seem to take forever to stop bleeding.

Bottom line, the situation looks WAY more dire than it actually is.  These areas will stop bleeding if you accidentally nick/pick at them, but it may be a while.  Others have suggested a dot of super glue to stop the bleeding.  That may work, but you have to be VERY careful that you don't end up thinking the area is"healed" and peel away the superglue.  You will start the process all over again.  If you end up wanting to go to the ER, they may cauterize the area.  This process involves using something like a soldering iron or laser to "burn" the tissue in that area and stop the bleeding.  Not my idea of fun and it may be a bit painful (like a traditional burn) after the procedure and during the healing process.

Hope that helps guys.  It is just one of the special things to look forward to as we age...

My husband just had the same experience. The "leetch" like material u see is just large blood clots that gelled. It feels like very soft putty. My husband was freaking out while I was trying to calm him and pitch the punctured vein. Its known to need cauterizing the vein if the blood doesn't clot. It comes from dry skin, high blood pressure, and sometimes its just something that happens. To stop the bleeding "pinch" or put pressure on the wound even put a ice pack on it for no more then 5mins at a time. Putting a paper towel, TP, even a bandage to press to it and let the vein clot and dry. Tear off alittle piece of bandage. Kinda like when u shave and cut urself, u put a piece of TP on the cut to stop it. Then leave it alone for at least a hour. If u take the bandage off right after u form a clot u can start bleeding again. Good Luck to u all.

This exactly sums up my evening last night. Laid in bed for two hours pinching myself (to apply pressure), to no avail. Superglue was my last resort, but it worked.
