I had similar bleeding for about 30mins through a black spot on my scrotum (hemangiomas). My doctor said I am not indicative of any disease. I think this is pretty normal.

Makes sense. I'm going to try it NOW. I was getting ready for bed and looked down to see a blood bath taking place. This is the second time, thought it would never stop. Hope this works.

Reading this post cracked me up a lot.. when it happened for the first time, i freaked the fk out as well, thinking the worst i just went into full on panic.. gone through tissues and wasting cold water washing down the blood for almost an hour and it just didn't work.. and then i just said fk it and for some reason thought "getting aroused would probably divert the blood traffic to the milk spitting dragon" and as the blood rushed to the one eyed monster, the bleeding stopped right away, never imagined a little towel rub can cause to lose so much blood.. now i handle the balls with more care than the royal family handles the crown jewels lol.. So Bottomline... if same thing happens to anyone out there, just wake your snake (& keep it in salute for 4-5 mins lol so the spot closes off), would stop it instantly and wash off.. no need to waste other stuff..
btw i can't believe someone in comments actually applied toothpaste xD wtf..

Same thing here. I am 46 and have a few small, dark red/almost black "dots" on the surface of my testicles. They are about 1 mm wide and slightly elevated. Since I shave my testicles on a regular basis, I thought that they might be the result of "nicks" over the years. After reading everyone elses posts, they are apparently small, benign (harmless) angionomas. According to Wiki..."Angiomas are a frequent occurrence as patients age, but they might be an indicator of systemic problems such as liver disease. They are not commonly associated with malignancy."
Well, this morning as I was showering with my loofa, I must have nicked one of these buggers and I started to bleed like a damn stuck pig! It was amazing how much a tiny little scrape could generate so much blood! I applied pressure by pinching for a while, and no help. Just kept bleeding. I then used a small fold of paper towel around the spot and put a paper clamp (alligator clip) around it for more pressure. I have had these in the past, and they always seem to take forever to stop bleeding.
Bottom line, the situation looks WAY more dire than it actually is. These areas will stop bleeding if you accidentally nick/pick at them, but it may be a while. Others have suggested a dot of super glue to stop the bleeding. That may work, but you have to be VERY careful that you don't end up thinking the area is"healed" and peel away the superglue. You will start the process all over again. If you end up wanting to go to the ER, they may cauterize the area. This process involves using something like a soldering iron or laser to "burn" the tissue in that area and stop the bleeding. Not my idea of fun and it may be a bit painful (like a traditional burn) after the procedure and during the healing process.
Hope that helps guys. It is just one of the special things to look forward to as we age...

This exactly sums up my evening last night. Laid in bed for two hours pinching myself (to apply pressure), to no avail. Superglue was my last resort, but it worked.
