Note: Im a 30 year old female. 2 children ages 5(born 8-27-08) and 7 months (born 5-8-13). ive had 2 miscarriages and 1 ectopic pregnancy in my life. I have a history of endometriosis and ovarian cysts.
I recently had moderate pain that escalated to severe pain (sharp, stabbing) where my right ovary is. In about an hour the pain spread to my left ovary area into my right lower back, then a tearing sensation into my right groin with a burning aching sensation mid way down the front of my thighs. I had to walk bent over. By the next morning, I was still walking bent over, pain mostly staying by my right ovary and into my groin and dull low back pain. I had to go pee very bad and when I went, not a lot of pee came out since I felt a strong urge of my bladder being full. Went to the ER, they did an ultrasound and then after that they drew blood for a pregnancy test, CBC with differential and a BMP (sodium, potassium, etc.) Also, they did a UA. After all of that and 6 hours later, the doctor told me they saw a 5cm bleeding granular mass that was by the right ovary but not attached to it and that it could possibly be scar tissue from a previous ectopic pregnancy surgery (this surgery was in 2004 and they did not remove my tube or ovary and to remove the ectopic pregnancy, they did a "squeegee" type motion to squeeze the pregnancy out into the uterus for me to pass on my own). The doctor said that's all they could think of other than it being some sort of tumor or mass that may or may not be malignant (as he is edging his way out of the room!!). "But you can't drop the ball, you need to follow up with your OBGYN next week (I went to the ER on Friday 12/27/13). The ER is essentially only for pain control." I'm outraged by this and I have no comfort and questions unanswered. Please help with any comments or experiences you have had. Thank you!
