I ended up writing a lot, so beforehand, I apologize if my words do not seem to flow very well.
A few years ago, I went to the doctor about having trouble with eating. Upon ingesting certain foods, such as potatoes, bananas, seafood, anything with eggs, I would have a lot of pain in my chest and be forced to expel said food. It would feel as though my esophagus had closed up. I thought it was from the fact that I drank far too much soda; several 2 liter bottles a day. After about 6 months of this, and to appease my mom, I went and saw a doctor. It did not take long for them to send me for a "barium" test, and then determine that I had a "hiatal hernia".
I was told that all of the issues I was experiencing were related to this condition, and that if I took these prilosec anti-acid pills, avoided heaving lifting and give up the soda, that it would eventually heal on its own. Which I did, and I have no idea if it did.
To this day, I am unable to eat those foods. I determined on my own that I had developed food allergies, and simply should stay away from them. On a possibly related note, I am unable to feel any acid buildup until it gets to my throat, which it often does while I am trying to sleep.
That was about 2 years ago now. Lately (as in the past month) I have developed an extreme amount of fatigue. I can not cognitively function on the level I need to and have to force myself to do things. My stomach has also started to bloat up to a disconcerting size, and I have actually started to develop stretch marks at my sides from it. When my stomach bloats up I only really feel any pain in my lower abdominal area.
The constant pain, fatigue and bloating are really starting to worry me. I am the type to avoid going to see a doctor. This time around I do not have health insurance and can not really afford it.
I am a 22 year old male and do not smoke or drink, I was in the habit of going to the gym several times a week, but have refrained for over a month. When I did force myself to go the other day, it really.. did me in.. for lack of better words and I had only managed to run a half of a mile. I normally can do 2 miles relatively easy. This is when I realized something is definitely going on. In just this months time I have noticed my muscle mass deteriorating quickly, my strength decreasing my train of thought.....
I have tried to combat it by taking the prilosec, eating a decent diet, and avoiding acidic things, but it has had no effect.
