Hi, my baby is one n a half mth old. she has blood in her stool. initially the blood comes out frm the anaes n also she has some blood in the stool like jelly. she was hospitalised n had a blood test, x-tray n stool test. docs cldn't find any problem with the baby. the blood in the stool stopped n she was discharged. aft 2 wks she is having blood in the stool again. i did consult a doctor who gave her some antibiotics. she has been on it for 4days but blood in the stool is lesser but she still having it i'm lost on wat to do pls help.

Is your baby constipated? I had similar problems when my child was this young. He would go without a bowel movement for five days or so. He would then strain and make "the sounds" when it would finally happen.
He also had some blood coming from the anus but I knew it was from constipation.
Constipation is common in such small children. It is even said that no steps should be taken for up to 7-10 days without a bowel movement.
