For the past couple weeks(probably closer to 3), usually later in the day time, I've had excessive amounts of gas, more than I've ever had before(some days worse than others). I put this to having just moved into college and my diet changing... expecting it to go away. I would often go to the bathroom with this, have a bowel movement(though, normally most all of what came out was gas), and then would feel fine for a while. However the past two days i've noticed when having a bowel movement, quite a bit of blood when wiping, however its not constant in any way, just the first wipe will have a decent amount of blood, then the rest not much.
I really have very limited knowledge of medical stuff, so I don't know if i'm overreacting, or what.
Thanks for any help.

Any bleeding from the rectum should be checked by a doctor. I would suggest you visit a student clinic and have this seen. It could be nothing, a scratch or irritation from a bowel movement but it could also be something more serious.
Have you ever had hemorrhoids? Internal hemorrhoids would bleed sometimes. You may not even realize you have a hemorrhoid until it started bleeding.
If the blood is bright in color, it is probably nothing serious but needs checking anyway. If the bleeding is dark in color, if there’s slime, if it is clotted, then it is a sigh of something more serious. It could be IBS, colitis, even cancer.
If the bleeding persists, I would turn to a doctor.
