I recently had surgery to remove some excess scar tissue in between the 3rd and 4th toes on my right foot. The foot was bandaged for 2 weeks. Now, 12 weeks later, I noticed that my little toe seems to be slanting more towards the others and there is a lump at the bottom of the toe where a callus or bunion would normally be. I've always had very square feet due to my mum making me wear sensible shoes when I was younger so, although it doesn't feel painful, it does bother me from the aesthetic point of view. I saw my surgeon for a follow up appointment this morning and he said that it was because the bone had built up some bulk due to the fact the foot was bandaged for 2 weeks. I want further info but can't seem to find anything on this on the internet. Can anybody help? How and why does this happen, and will it get better in time?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Zoe
