Bowel pain during menstural cycle

Hi Everyone:

Wondering if anyone can relate, or know anything about this:

During my period cycle, i get intense pains - but thats normal for me. whats NOT normal, is right before i have to make a bowel movement, or even gas pain sometimes, i get INTENSE SHARP pains in my lower stomach to the point where i cannot move or breathe, and once the bowels have passed, it lightens up.

Any suggestions - should i see a gyno or a gastro doc??
