I had bronchitis mid sept and was given antibiotics, puffers and time off work etc. Then went on an OS trip for 6 weeks, had a cough for a single day here and there but nothing too major.
I have arrived home and 3 weeks later began to get a sore throat and then bronchitis again - it wouldn't go so I went back to the Dr who put me on antibiotics again (so in total it was 3 weeks with a cough). It nearly left but with the weather changing I have woken up this morning with a blocked nose and the beginning of a cough again.
I stopped smoking a year ago (but smoked for 2 weeks of my OS holiday).
I was getting a sick feeling that something may be wrong (other than bronchitis) so had a medical check up and all tests came back fine. Although I was told you couldn't test for cancer in blood tests a friend told me that the protein levels would be weird from the blood test if there was some sort of cancer.
I am constantly clearing my throat (which I think is just the aftermath of a cough).
The Dr told me I simply picked up another virus and I may get Bronchitis 2 or 3 times and not get it again and the cough may last for few months.
Is this normal for Bronchitis and should I be concerned?
