Try acidopholus.  20 billion per capsule. Must be refrigerated when purchased and kept refrigerated. Check the expiration date. You can't get these from yogurt. They are killed in the environment of the yogurt in the stomach.  Also, take with meals. When you take an antibiotic, it kills all the good and bad bacteria. You will need to replenish the good in order to keep the bad from overgrowth.  It may take time, maybe a month. but you will find that you wont get strep, it will improve your immune system.

I dealt with this for almost 9 years before a doctor gave me one simple thing to try. Blow my nose every night before I lay down and RIGHT when I wake up and use a nasal spray like Nasonex to try to limit that during the day as well. There are other medications out there that will have a similar effect. The issue with me was that I slept on my back a good portion of the time and my stomach would just fill up with nasal drainage all night. I will spare you the gross details, but that was what caused all the issues.
I now wake up feeling sick about 20% of the time but have been able to put on weight again (too much) and have been able to work again without having to have an altered schedule. It is cheap and can't hurt to try. Sure as hell cheaper than getting a quarter of decent weed every week. Though maybe not quite as pleasant. :)

My hubby is having the same symptoms. He is going for MorE bloodwork this Fr. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this. It sucks hearing him vomit everymorning!

Hope you have been feeling better!

quote="niloxs"]I am 115 lbs., 5'10", and 18 years old . Every single morning of my life I wake up with a terrible nausea. This usually happens anywhere from 6-9 A.M., although when it started I used to be able to sleep through it.

It started January 2007. I woke up one morning, went to school, and after I went to my first class I had to run to the bathroom and vomit profusely. After that I went home and shrugged it off.

But it never went away. My school nurse started getting aggravated with me so I stopped going to her and just threw up in the school bathroom every now and again, whenever the nausea was that bad. I didn't ALWAYS throw up, but I did ALWAYS have nausea in the morning.

After a couple weeks of this I saw my doctor. I got a blood test which came up negative. I was sent to a specialist who told me to stop drinking acidic drinks and gave me an endoscopy which also came up negative. However, he said I had been throwing up so frequently/violently that I had somehow forced bile back up into my stomach which was most likely the problem and would most likely go away. It didn't, and I never saw him again. He had me on Prilosec every morning, but it didn't help. I gave up for a bit and decided to just deal with the problem on my own.

A few months later after finding a bulls-eye on me I was tested positive for lyme disease. The reason I mention this is because the specialist I saw prescribed me with doxycycline, saying it was a "stronger antibiotic" and would "help me with my acne." But couldn't it have killed off all the beneficial bacteria in my stomach?

Months later I decided my morning nausea wasn't going to go away on its own so I went back to my doctor who sent me to another specialist. This time I had a CT scan of my brain, upper GI and small bowl series which all came back negative. I never had a follow up with this specialist because he stopped taking my insurance and now refuses to see me.

Months later, (only about a month back from today), my dad convinced me to go to a health foods store and see what they had to say. They recommended I take a capsule of plant enzymes before each meal or whenever I feel sick. They didn't work.

I am not someone who has trouble dealing with stress or anxiety. Of course I get them, but now when I get them, my stomach gets worse feeling than it used to. Aside from the morning, I basically have the same stomach as everyone else except if something happens that would bother a normal person's stomach slightly it bothers mine terribly. I used to never have a problem with fried food, fast food, spaghetti sauce, orange juice, or soda except now they are completely eliminated from my diet. I can't eat breakfast (I can usually start eating around 11ish), and I refuse to eat or drink anything after 8:00 P.M.

I hate to sound drastic but this problem is ruining my life. I hate the smells of food, and eating, and my friends mock me for this. Having always been a skinny kid, I wanted to gain weight but now I have to follow that plan to gain weight in order to simply maintain the pathetic 115 pounds I am now. Every morning for what lasts from a couple of minutes to a couple of hours, I have to go through a strict meditation process I invented to deal with the pain and reduce my chances of vomiting while everyone else is snoozing.

I'd like to describe an average morning for me with associated pains in case you guys want to know my symptoms a little better:

I wake up anywhere from 6-9. The nausea comes about 10-15 seconds after I wake up. The discomfort is usually all over my abdominal area under my belly button. It's usually associated with intestinal cramps, uncomfortable gurgling, or occasionally, heartburn. I always have to urinate very very badly, and once I do I feel slightly better. I'll go into the bathroom, and depending on how bad it is I'll either vomit or at least try to have some sort of bowel movement. If I vomit, I'll feel a little better right afterward but then the nausea will come back and last a lot longer, usually with a lot of gurgling going on. If I vomit in the morning I pretty much can't eat for the rest of the day. If I don't vomit, I'll sit on the toilet and fight cramps. I'll feel really constipated, and only be able to get a little out. My stool is usually yellow/grayish and claylike- never solid but definitely not diarrhea. After this I'll feel slightly better, and I'll go find a place to fight it off (never laying down, that makes it worse). Eventually it goes away. Then I'll either go back to sleep or just stay awake.

Sometimes I end up on my computer after it all happens. Recently, I started looking around on the internet to see if there might be a medical site with a solution. What I actually found was a good amount of message boards with people posting either the exact same or a very similar problem. However, all these posts have something in common- no answer!

I realize this post is very long but I wanted to be as detailed as possible.

Thanks!-

it may suck to hear him but it sucks much worse to be him you selfish person.

My daughter has this.  Nausea every morning, frequently throwing up.  It started when she was a freshman in high school.  She is now a senior.  The severity of the attacks has lessened, but the problem is now more frequent - every day.  What she has been diagnosed with is "abdominal migraines."  She has had regular migraines, as well.  The anti-nausea meds for chemo patients help.  You can have these prescribed by your doctor. The Reglan has bad side effects, but there are many others - you just have to try them to see which one works.  Another thing that worked for her, long term, is (surprisingly!) chiropractic treatments!!!  They have significantly reduced the head migraines, and these treatments have seemed to lessen the severity of the nausea/vomiting.  Also, I do think certain foods make the problem much worse than others - steak, ice cream, rich cream sauces, spaghetti sauce, aged cheeses, etc.  Lean meat, fresh fruits and vegetables and complex carbs are so much better for you anyway.   I wish I had an answer.  I would love for her to pop out of bed bright and cheery like she used to.  I appreciate everyone's contributions here.

I feel nausea too. Breathing techniques help some. Long deep breathing. Smelling the fresh air as I inhale. I'm trying salt loading (the idea is related to bromine toxicity, a pinch of sea salt in a small glass of warm water helps the kidneys excrete the toxins, see also how potassium iodine will detox your heavy metals and kill an excess of bacteria in your body) I also can't stand anything sweet when I wake up. Have had heartburn, eliminated pop, pasta, bread and pizza (see celiac disease related to allergies) lately I'm drinking a little water with 1 lime squeezed into it. It's light and gives a little vitamin c and potassium. Also taking a calcium magnesium supplement to try and get the heart palpitations to go away. Here is a link to one thing I haven't tried yet.   ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** web addresses not allowed***

You all might want to have your gastroenterologist consider bile reflux - this is different from acid reflux. My daughter tried Cholestyramine - it is a powder mixed with water and she drinks it before bed and when waking in the morning. (Don't worry - it does not taste awful). She says it is helping quite a bit. Also, staying away from the foods that produce bile (dairy, fats, etc.) and very spicy or acidic foods helps. Exercise, yoga and meditation also help a lot. Good luck and let me know if you figure this out.

Have you been tested for h pylori bacteria?  This bug causes chronic stomach inflammation, which could lead to daily nausea.  If you were tested, you might have had false negatives.  Get tested again.  If you have this bacteria in your stomach, you must take meds to get rid of it; no other way.

Same here.. it's been years, and my doc thinks im crazy.. he refuses to run anymore test. I am seriously concerned this could be early signs of some kind of stomach cancer!! I am very afraid I will find out what this is, only when it is TOO late to do anything about it!!. Good luck to us All!!

Hi...my name is Hector. For the past 3months, I have been waking up normal. I lay in bed stretching, u know preparing to get up, when it starts.....with the AC on73 throughout the night and a ceiling fan as well......I literally throw off the covers and begin to get sweaty on my forehead and legs.....I try to chalk it off on whaterver..lol...now, I'm not sure if it brought on by my thinking about it or just the way my body begins to heat up .... also the soles of my feet. Then I race out of bead, run to the bathroom, grab the bowl with both hands as I begin to hail the Porcelain Queen. What happens next is weird..... I go through the normal heaves and deep breathalyzer even the expected stomach convolsions to sometime s vomit or this thick almost mucous glob......cold water on my wrists and I'm good.....but not today.... it was so bad, I lowered the window on the car and let go in traffic. Coming and going. And I'm ur average fit 40 yr. Old guy Year old

I wake up the same way. My fiance is worried it can be something serious. I've always been in and out of the hospital since i was very young. I hate goin to the doctors and telling them my symptoms to get no results back. I think it's just sometimes the doctors don't do the right tests they should. Always goin to the doctors gettin prescribed meds for pain n sent home. One yr in 2003 I ended up having a seizure due to a really high fever. The er doctors checked my head MRI CRAto get a better look. At that time they said I a lesion. Fast forward a few yrs back I was having really bad pain in my head so bad I had put lots of ice packs on my head and jus remember pushing my hands on my head the pain hurt so bad it felt like my head was goin to burst. I went to the docs they said I had a brain hemorrhage and there surprised that I'm alive I should have died. I knew at that moment it was the ice packs. My doctor said by me doin that could have been what saved me. Was going regularly for MRIs n all that to keep an eye on my brain but I stopped goin I hate going n they find nothing but I guess it's good they find nothin. I have been waking up feeling nauseous really bad. I thought I could be pregz took test wasn't I blaze in the morning if it's really bad. It helps. I don't have a big appetite like I use too. But I do make sure I eat the right meals. I go walking with my hubby beach trails that kinda stuff. I use to be able to drink a lot b4 I'd get a good buzz but if it's beer I get a buzz off 2 sometimes 1 n liquor idk haven't drank it in awhile I use too though. Shocktops I'm liken more. But I get faded a lot faster than I use too. Not a big drinker these days. I dnt really think I have stress in my life either. I knw I can't stress because of my head. So I dnt sweat the small stuff n the people who aren't good for my life I cut them out my life. Big world, lots of people out there I got my hubby n Fam few close friends I'm all good with that :D I am goin to be goin back to the docs only because my hubby wants me to get it checked out, The nauseous feeling I mean. Dnt knw if all this helps but that's my med stuff. The nauseous feeling sucks! (25yrs old, female,no kids yet)

Ive had the same symptoms for about 2-3 months now Ive always had anxiety problems and now im at school and stressing so I think that has something to do with it but I also have stomach acid problems. My doctor told me to try Zantac 150 and I tried it this morning when I felt sick and got rid of the stomach pain INSTANTLY and I didint puke for the first morning in about a month. So i would say to go to a docotr and ask if u can get this and try it out because its 1-1 for me. I hope it works for you

I am literally going through the EXACT same thing. I googled my problem to try and find an answer..... but this is so unbelievably similar to my situation, i have to ask you directly, did you ever find out what was causing this??? It IS ruining my life as well, you do not sound dramatic or drastic. I wake up EVERY morning between 5-8 oclock, but if I don't take a prilosec at 5 when i wake up, i can't even move for the rest of the day, im so sick. Did you figure it out??
