I have walked around my whole life with a ball that pops in and out if I sneeze and move the wrong way... And every doctor told me it was a growth that I was born with... Finally after so much pain and discomfort I went to a urgent care and the doctor told me it was a hernia... I made a appointment with my physician and she said it was not a hernia that she was going to do a catscan and two days later I have a hernia in between my breast and ribcage....

This sounds like what my wife has. No doctor has diagnosed it correctly. Have you had any relief from any treatments, surgery or medications. Unfortunately I can't read anything you wrote after "breast and rib cage"
Any help or info would be appreciated.
Thanks

I have the same thing under my right ribcage, if I move a certain way it hurts alot, then goes back to normal after a minute or so. Mine is not visible. I will get x-rays ordered when I see my doctor on May 10th. When I see my MD. Good luck on yours. I hope we get to the bottom of this soon.

I had an endoscopy several years ago for an unrelated pain having to due with an issue that caused so much pain I would break out into a cold sweat that soaked through my clothes,I would roll up into a ball & pass out..Today the term Gluten Free makes my Acid Reflux - G E R D more manageable than Lactose Intolerant When I requested a copy of the procedure I noticed the word HIATAL HERNIA . What on earth is that doing there ? I have degenerate disc disease , Lyme Disease atrophy ,carpal tunnel in both arms , Raynauds syndrome , digestive issues , blah A blah blah etc, C R P S / Rsds CRPS makes pain feel out of the normal range for the type of pain it should be .There is no cure & complications begin the older you become. When did I pop a muscle(s) that appear to be upper rib cage area , not the norm where men usually get a hernia from lifting too much weight , etc. I never noticed it until after one day I was carrying my pudgy 15 year old old cat after surgery & I was trying to get him to come out from his pet carrier to my arms or walk out on his own ... I finally took apart the pet taxi& walked him around the condo . He went from 25-21 pounds &as I placed him in his bed ,I felt the left side of my ribs burn like hell & as I bent over I felt spasms in the middle of my body hurt just as bad as if I through my back went out!!What the ..How can you injury your ribs directly in between the R - L , under the left side to the middle is a small ⚽ round circular squishy muscle that does not belong there , I imagine. This hurt much less when I weighed 150-190 lbs then today when I am approx128-130!! I wish you the best***

25 yr old son have had gassy bloating issues and in the last year or two have had this bulge in upper abdomen and chest area says he feels like there is aid collected in this region and could force it out, he started to vomit, if he ate a bit to much, and if he drinks milk it bloats, he eats and says that area seems full but bottom of stomach still hungry, had ultra sound done on abdomen nothing showed up but it was done more on stomach and not that region I think, blood test FBE came back normal, so did a endoscope said mild inflammation, h pylori clear. Can see bulge more when eat, and takes gaviscon, hardly passes wind, and pass stools every 3-4 days. On bed most of the time playing games eats on bed too, he has put on weight on stomach. Misses breakfast and does not have lunch regularly might have dinner and nibbles right through the night not sure what to do and if it is somethig serious, when he was three months old had a fistula on his rear bottom, he always says he is starving and eats a little bit and says full.
Thanks

Bingo. That's spot-on with me too. Also on the thin side. Today it's gotten to the point where it's visible through my shirt. Same kind of strong cramp-like pain. Noticeable most when I'm in bed, attempting to roll over/change positions, and when I go to get out of bed. Going into the doctors this week

I did the intermittent fasting thing a couple months ago and after I quit, my stomach always felt kind of weird. About a month and half ago, I noticed this big bulge like thing between where my rib cage ends (I don't know if the diet caused it or not). Every time I push on it, it feels like I'm going to throw up. Also, when I hold my stomach in and then breath in, the lower part of my stomach stays while the bulge expands

I have the same bulge just under the rib cage as you have all described. I was diagnosed as a hernia right away by the VA, who are, believe me, no rocket scientists. In my case it was easy. I had a bypass in 2007 and they used a mesh to seal it that I did not know about. Well the mesh came apart (like so may others) so that was why it was easy in my case. I'm told that it is not the case for most physicians because they don't know what they are looking at. It started as a small ball that was soft and wasn't always there. I was alarmed at first because I'd never seen that. I went straight to my VA primary care physician and she did not know what it was, so I said hernia? because I'd heard in this area before. She sent me, apparently based on my suggestion, to the clinic that handles these. They confirmed it and told me how hard these are to diagnose by a GP. It bulges when I cough, sneeze etc. but it had no obvious feeling at first. They scheduled a surgery to repair it, which they told me would be painful an difficult to fix completely. It was almost two years ago that it was discovered and the surgery was never done. That's because the small spot on my left lung that the VA told me was nothing to worry about apparently was something to worry about. I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and given eight months to live. Like I said, no rocket scientists. Well I'm still here and I still have this hernia, only now it seems worse (which tracks with the literature). Only now I am experiencing stomach pressure and that tracks with the literature for when the hernia grows larger. But no one wants to touch it because I have cancer. I'm writing this because I was looking to find an answer to the stomach pressure and I did. But then I saw your comments about the GP's sending you all over the place and I felt compelled to tell you something that I always told my boys when I was a chief in the Navy and I still tell (told) my clients as an attorney. There is no such thing as a noble profession. There are noble people. Otherwise doctors, lawyers and astronauts are just like everybody else. So you are mistaken to trust them blindly that they know what they are doing. If you feel it might be a hernia, then direct your doctor to send you to the appropriate clinic. Do not wait for them to get it right.Because there is no guaranty they ever will. And you and your love ones will suffer for their ??? Call it what you will but most doctors and lawyers in my experience read quite a bit during school and nothing afterwards. That's not promising for you. Please assert yourself for your own sake, and you're the only one that matters in the doctor/patient relationship, and the attorney/client as well. Good luck.

I am an ICU/ER nurse for 20 years Not a doc & obviously can’t do an exam on either of you & don’t have enough info but... If there is no pain & it’s constantly there it could just be a fatty cyst. Easy enough to have removed by a gen. surgeon.

I have a palpable bump in my upper abdomen muscle. It was diagnosed again and again as Irritable Bowel -- finally found a doctor who said it's a twisted muscle. He's going to inject muscle relaxer and pain killer in the area and expects it to calm down and relax. That's tomorrow. Hoping for success for both of us.
