I have something similar. What kind of doctor should I go to? So embarrassing. My obgyn didn't seem comfortable or seem to see anything but I'm uncomfortable 24/7 and I think there is a white lump right by the anus. 4 months ago I had itching there and scratched away and it turned into a massive rash and blisters. Now it's back without any blisters or rash. Just really uncomfortable. No blood in stool. And bowel movements don't really hurt. Just underwear and general movement. I tried antivirals incase it was hsv but doesn't seem to have changed it.

I had the same thing. I went to my GP who give me a course of antibiotics for a week which did not work. I was then giving a stronger course which eased my pain and within a few weeks it totally disappeared. I haven't had any problems since. Go see your GP! It is more common than you think!

I just recently had a similar bump on the right side on my inner buttock area. I held off for a week and a half until it started growing and hurting a few days ago. I just submitted myself to the urgent care and got it checked by the doctor. It was an perianal abscess. Abscess are common to get around other parts of your body. When you get it by your anus area it's because bacteria build up, bad diet, lack of water, so puss starts to build up and the bump gets bigger and very uncomfortable to walk, sit, and move around. I went with the surgery to have it removed and it took the doctor thirty minutes. The surgery was painful for a quick minute but only hurts you when the novicaine where's off which is normal. I suggest for everyone that has or is unsure about the bump around the anus region. Go seek professional advice and if you need to get it surgically removed. You will be glad you did. My visit to urgent care with the check up and surgery and antibiotics cost me $315. That's a small price for your health and comfort. Please don't wait, go to your nearest doctor or clinic.

I also found myself with a red, on and off painful red bump that felt like a raised mole. I noticed it but thought it was only a mole, and had it for a few months. one day it felt strange and a little painful if i messed with it. A few days later I squeezed it a bit like a pimple but not super hard. It hurt ALOT! The next few days I could hardly sit down or stand up or even walk without it hurting and bothering me. About 4 days later the pain stopped, and a few days after that it was gone! Probably was a blood clot after doing some research which can happen from taking a poop and stretching out the anus hole. I hope this helps someone!

it may be a perianal cyst if on out area other then rim. i thought hemmoroid for years and this cyst has caused numerous infections in that area especially females. it needs to be surgically removed so consult a doctor and educate yourself. always listen to your body, always. my main symptom has been fevers different times different days. you can go online and read symptoms to compare but regardless its best to know than wonder. stress kills sooner. be safe and God Bless

i understand i am late reading this but to anyone that has the same thing you need to go to the doctor. there are cases where a cyst or an abscess can grow into your anus. if you cant go to the doctors today, go to the er. it must be looked at! i had the same thing, lucky i came in time to, if i came a day late i would have needed multiple surgery's. anyway it doesn't hurt a bit to get it removed or opened.  i understand if you dont want to pay for it but you should go the easy way out and go now. i wish all that are reading this thread for questions good luck.

I have a lump on the right side of the anal opening. I felt it last night. It hurts to the touch and to sit. It has pus or something in it. It's soft. Going to doctor today. If I had to guess what it is id say its an anal abscess. I'll keep you guys updated.

The hard lump beside your anus which starts as hard, red, sore, throbbing with a lot of pressure, then pops and drains pus and blood, is most likely a perianal abscess. Take it from someone who has had these reoccur several times over the past year. 50% of perianal abscesses result in something called a fistula, which is a permanent channel between your colon and outside of your body (where the abscess burst outwards). If you are unlucky enough to get a fistula (like me), then it is only cured by an operation called a fistulectomy where they essentially cut you wide open and have to let you heal from the inside out. Not pretty. If you don't operate, the abscesses will keep coming back. Forever. It will not heal on its own. If you have a perianal abscess, get to a doctor or a hospital- get it lanced and take antibiotics if they're prescribed to you. Don't play around, I have private health insurance in Australia and I think I will be out of pocket around $1200 for a $2900 fistulectomy operation... Not to mention the horrific recovery. Let us know what happened, and if you're doing ok.

This might happens due to sweat... i reccomend going to the doctor and they should prescribe u with a cream and a antibiotic. This may happen due to sports or exercise which causes sweat to release thus forming this bump
