Initially after I first went to the doctor about my lump, she ordered a ultrasound which I had done on a Tuesday. On Thursday about 5pm she called with the results, I don't remember what she said, but I told her I had left work at noon feeling horrible and my fever spiked to 102. She had me go to the Emergency room immediately and a few hours later I was in surgery. The surgeon said I had a peri-anal abscess, a abscess outside the rectum. But they like to connect (or communicate) with whatever they can attach themselves to, by latching on via a fistula. He said he was lucky that he found the fistula. I have to go back for in office 'adjustments' to close off the fistula. I just had my first one two days ago, the pain was through the roof. So I know what you are talking about. He said after another 3-4 adjustments (every 2 weeks) I should be like new. The pain meds cause you to be constipated so take stool softeners if you are on pain meds. Prayers to all who are going through this,,, but if you find a lump,,, DO NOT IGNORE IT.

I had one as well..just had a baby 3 mos ago and it poped up then went away then came back...I let it go until it didn't hurt and then popped it without any pain...a lot of blood clots came out but it's gone now

I have a small bump to the right of my anus. There isn't really anything there but it feels like there's a rock underneath my skin. I've had bumps like this before on my gluteus Maximus but they've gone away with me just leaving them alone. I don't know what it is and I'm freaking out cause I don't want to go to a doctor. Any ideas of what I should do? Any home remedies? It doesn't hurt to use the bathroom or wipe or anything just hurts if I apply an amount of pressure on both sides. Help Please?

I've had one before and it was just painful to put pressure on. I didn't see a doctor or anything and it went away after a while, just don't try to aggravate it. But that doesn't nessicarily mean that u have the same thing as me. Hope this helped.

I have a little pea sized lump in my bum hole but it's on the edge and halfway going into my hole I'm just turning into a teenager so I'm quite young and I don't know what it is. It's a little lump but I've had no bleeding or anything like that. I would also find it embarrassing to tell my parents.
