So my Girlfriend has been having recurring UTI's for the last year. She had surgery on July 30th, because she was having reflux to her kidneys. After her surgery she continued to have UTI's. I was reading that sometimes sex can cause a UTI, so we made sure we were extra careful, but she still ended up with the same symptoms of a UTI. So she had a urine test run, and it is showing up as her not having an infection. She has been having a UTI almost every week, and like clockwork, every Sunday she is admitted to the ER for severe kidney pain, burning after she urinates, and so on. But for the last 2-3 weeks she has been fine, other than the fact that it is burning after she urinates. She says it feels like everything down there is just flaring up and on fire. She took another urine test last week, and called today, and they are saying it isn't a UTI. So i guess i am wondering... if it isn't a UTI then what else could it be? We havn't been able to live a normal life with all this going on, and we are not sure if we should go to UW to try and figure out what else it could be. That is a major step, so i though i would try here first. Thanks
