My DH and I have been TCC for 17 months, with no luck. Dr. told us to wait for a year to be concerned because we are both only 27. Finally were tested- my DH's count was perfect- I was diagnosed with PCOS- this was heart wrenching to us both. Started on Clomid at 50 mg and ovulated right away! This was positive for us and got our hopes up. First month, not AF on day 29- one day late. Tried anouther 50 mg this month- fertility monitor said I ovulated. Today is day 27- cramping started last night- no spotting yet- but I just know that it didn't work and that AF is just around the corner. I am just so burnt out and feel like giving up hope. Going to try another month of 50 mg- crossing my fingers and praying that it will work. Any words of encouragement or suggestions from anyone? I just feel like we are never going to have a baby!

This was our second month on Clomid. My DH and I have TCC for 17 months. Because we are only in our upper 20's my Dr. said to wait until after a year to be tested. When we finally were it was found that I have PCOS :-( This was devestating to me to find out. Started on Clomid at 50 mg and yeah, it made me ovulate- but no baby after the first month. My breasts have gotten bigger and are constantly sore. Have had hot flashes and extreme swings. Am on day 27 of the second month on Clomid and started getting cramps last night- I can feel AF approaching and I am at whits end! I feel like just giving up! Does anyone have any words of encouragement or suggestions?? Help!

Hi Ladies,
I thought I was ok and landed up on Clomid cause I wasn't completeing my cycle. I was suppose to start my period on Sun but nothing happened. I am usually 28 or 29 days and now it's day 31 and no period as yet. Few days leading up to my "period" I noticed that my breasts started swelling and I felt extremely drained and exhausted. I waited the weekend and it's Monday morning now. I went to the loo and all I saw was a little brown spotting but I was waiting for my period. Now I am hoping its pregnancy but not sure if it's the Clomid. Has anyone else been late on Clomid and experinced what I am going through?
Thanks :Pam

Hi everyone,
Ive been on Clomed for 3 months. 50mg 100mg and 150mg. I have experienced side affects with it but the one that is bothering me the most is the one where Im seeing trailing images from time to time. So called doctor and removed me for a month to see if it dissipates. it is a little and the rest of the side affects are not that bothersome. On the dose of 150mg I did finally ovulate but hpt negitive. But still required to keep trying even with the month off. my periods are very irrigular and last about 34-36 days but are getting sorter each month with this drug. anyone heard of this kind of vision problems before and if so how long did they last? I am very discuraged that I was off of it this month. Im just hoping that my vision will return to normal by next month so I can continue next month. I know it is very hard not to be so consumed in thinking am I pregnant am I pregnant!!!!!!!!!!! It really just makes it worse. wait till you are late by 5 days look forward to this day each month and if you are then take that test. it helps releave the stress and I also have created a pregnancy journal and I keep track of anything that changes and it gives my mind a break a little. You really have to try to stay positive. I want this more than anything in the world. im 34 and this will be my first child. Little steps equal leapes. you just have to get over the little hills to get to the finish line. hope this helps a little and I have been trying since august of last year. good luck to all

I wish someone that had answers would actually write - I just have another story. This is my third month of 100mg Clomid, and I have experienced normal, 32-33 day cycles in the preceding two months. This month though, I started bleeding lightly (didn't need a tampon) on day 18 and it continued until day 25. I thought for sure it was implantation bleeding. It's now day 32 and both early pregnancy tests I've taken are neg. My doctor told me to treat the bleeding as my period and begin Clomid again. I'm so confused and frustrated!

Well, this is month number 3 on Clomid, 50 mg. and were hoping that third time would be the charm- no such luck though unfortunately. Slight cramping started on day 24, but wasn't necessarily worried at that point. Today is 28 and like clockwork, started spotted this morning. :'( It was hard to head to work this morning because I am just completely hopeless and don't think it is ever going to happen for us. I have to call the doctor today to see what the next step is going to be- I fear that it will be more testing with a fertility specialist and then who knows what. Realizing that my 28th B-day is quickly approaching is pretty scary to me and my clock just ticks louder. My husband tells me to keep the faith, but it really is hard to. I get frustrated because he strongly believes that it will happen in God's time- I want to believe it and try hard to do so, but after all these months of trying I find it really hard. Can anyone tell me what their next step was after Clomid didn't work?

I am on my first dose of clomid. I thought I might be prego till I started reading all the people saying side effects cold be like pregnancy. We have been trying for 5 years and even though I know I will never give up on giving birth to a baby. I feel so much beeter now that me and my husband have taken classes to become foster/adoptive parents. We took the course that was required and now are waiting on our paper work to go threw. As soon as we finnished our last class I found I started to feel much better and it made the propect of not getting pregnant ok somehow. Because I knew no matter what I would be a mom and that was what I wanted most. I just want to tell everyone who has ever thought about adoption only after they tried everything else you should start the process Because there are so many children out ther who need our love. I still want to give birth if I can but it will not stop me from being a mom. Good luck too all of you and I will send baby dust your way. If I am prego and it's not just side effects I will let you know. Some of the feelings I'm having are sore nipples, headaches, sick to my stomach and so tired all the time. I have also started eating throughout the day and I never do that.

I started on 100mg of clomid and i've just finished my first course and am on day 9 now. everywhere i've read about side effects and i'm worried that i don't have them.does this mean it's not working? I've used all the prenatal vitamins and so has my husband. Do the side effect occurs whlie you take the pills or afterwards. I have a buzzing background headache if you know what I mean but thats all. My cycle is 24 days.

This all sounds so familiar. I am 29 years old, and my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 13 months now. I was diagnosed with PCOS about 4 months ago. I am on my third cycle of Clomid. The first two months, i did not notice any real side effects except for slight dizziness. however, this month, I noticed light cramping, nausea, breast tenderness, extreme! mood swings, heavy vaginal discharge, and heartburn. I thought for sure I was pregnant. I am now four days late. I have not been late for my period or missed my period in 4 years. I had light cramping this morning, but no period. (I never have light cramping, either - it's always extremely heavy and painful and I start bleeding immediately). I was so sure I was pregnant, but every urine test has come back negative. I made an appointment to get a blood test in 2 days. Does anyone know what's going on with me??? Why did I not experience any side effects the first two months?? Could the Clomid be making me late?

Could the woman who had to go to the ER please let me know an update. I know this was an old post, but I have been searching for someone who had a similar experience to mine. I am looking for answers as this has happened to me three times now. It presents as severe pain (almost like contractions of the most excruciating menstrual cramps). It is also when I start to bleed (around day 30 of my cycle). I vomit and almost pass out from the pain. The weirdest thing is that by the time I'm in the ER, the pain almost completely disappears. They do pregnancy tests that come back negative and an ultrasound, but everything looks fine. These same events have occurred three times now over the past few years! Does anyone have some insight? Twice it happened when my husband and I were not really "trying" and the third time it happened we were very actively trying. I had a lap 3 months ago that also showed stage two endo, but this still doesn't seem like the cause. I am worried that they might have been ectopics that resolved themselves? Could it be that the same reasons why we have not conceived, (2 chemical pregnancies) be the same cause of ectopics not getting to the point of sticking? If this is so, I am petrified of this happening again. I am paranoid to even try to get pregnant at this point. Can someone help?
