Hi, my name is Lindsey I am currently four weeks pregnant and I am concerned because my bf and I were separated for about two months. I had sex literally two weeks before my period but we used protection and he didn't finish; its no way I could be pregnant if I had a full length cycle ? I know you can sometimes have breakthrough bleeding however I bleed completely normal. My ultrasound says it matches my first day of my period should I be stressed?

Yes, I have the test is positive however, the guy I was with before my period wasn't my bf. My boyfriend and I got together about three weeks after the other guy (two weeks after my cycle ) so I believe its my bf baby seeing as the other guy didn't cum and the ultrasound matches my first day of my cycle. I'm just really stressed because we are so excited for our first child and I would hate to tear down all that we have rebuilt.

Ok now I understand.... so are you cycles always regular? Do they happen every 28 days? When was the start date of your last period and on what days did you have sex with the other guy and what days did you have sex with your boyfriend ? Did you use a condom with both guys and did either one ejaculate at all?

Yes they are always regular, yes 28 day that im aware of. Dec 9th is the first day of my last cycle. Nov 27- (non bf) didn't ejaculate. bf no condom did ejaculate (dec 18th, 20, and the 23rd.

OK so based off of this info I would say your boyfriend is almost definitely the father. First off you had sex with the other guy before your last period (and he did NOT have jaculate) and the fact that you got your menstrual period should mean that you were not pregnant at that time. Also ovulation usually occurs on day 14 and the most fertile times of your cycle are on days 12 through 20. If we use December 9 as day one that means you and your boyfriend had sex on days 9, 11 and 14. And remember that sperm cells can live in the female reproductive track for up to five days so this would put your boyfriends sperm cells in there at very fertile times of your cycle. Now obviously the only way to tell for sure is by doing a paternity test after the baby is born, but based off this info I would say that there’s a 99% chance that it is your boyfriends baby..... I hope this help and any other questions just let me know
