I quit, 13 days ago!! Best achievement so far coz ive tried more than ten times. Smoke joint only for 15 years every night after work!!! Bad habbits, my idea of how to stop, no need doctors...

1. Read the 12 question of (canabis addict) on a site somewhere i forgot which one.

2. Scare yourself by reading quitline ( cigarettes smokers)

Everynight before bed read again .

Put the bar high n say you want to reach 1 month or one year, when i reached 10 days i felt different,

First week no sleep for sure.

3. Do some meditation at night , chilled music, long breath, n try to stop thinking( ull feel good man)

4. Activities, gym, running in the park, feel like u are a new man running in the same street u walk everday!

5. Never stop reminding yourself, u are better without it !

6. Im going for run now, the rest is yours, try these only if you are 100% sure to quit!!!!! You can do it!!! I feel good without it

I am on day 3 of taking a break from consuming cannabis after moderately smoking for about 7 years and I feel very tired thru out the day. I eat healthy, sleep and exercise regularly and also do not drink alcohol. I have no anxiety, problems sleeping at night or any other negative symptoms other than being unusually tired and drowsy. I am betting that as more time goes on my energy will come back!

I kind of know what you mean I think. When I came off for a few months I felt like I didn't want to do anything and I couldn't put my mind on anything I just felt zoned out all the time and it made me really really tired and weird. I just wanted to sleep to make the time pass, but then the insomnia kicks in and you're exhausted and pretty much brain dead but somehow still awake. I think obviously it effects everyone in a different manner though especially if you factor in that people may do different amounts or for longer periods of time. But I think your lifestyle really has a lot to do with it. Perhaps assess your diet and other factors of your lifestyle. Otherwise you seem pretty lucky to be twelve days in and that's the only withdrawal side effect you've experienced.

Yes, it's definately VERY possible it's due to withdrawal.

Thousands of people have withdrawal symptoms (months to 2 years) after completely stopping

The term is called PAWS (Post-Acute Withdrawal Symptoms).

it is very well-known. Basically, it's a TEMPORARY episodes(relatively short ex: few days), where you may feel awfully depressed for example because of drug abuse.

I am in the same boat. It's a shock to your system to remove something that you've been putting in for so long. Also, marijuana withdrawal can cause mild depression. Sleep if you need, it will help your body clean itself out.

After smoking everyday for the last 15 years I quit about a week ago. I have been extremely tired too! It's really weird I always thought I would have sooo much energy when I quit. Not so. I am not sure when it will go away but I was thinking about starting an hour a day workout routine (bicycling/walking) to see if that boost my energy.

what happens when you struggle to find regular sleep? when you experience restlessness? it throws off your sleeping cycle leaving you feeling tired all the time, so they are not opposite at all: that is cause and effect. I have been clean now from weed for 6 days and ive never felt more tired, though i also have a hard time going to sleep (mostly at the beginning more than now) but it is because of that restlessness that im having a hard time getting my sleeping patterns back in rhythm, causing a massive feeling of drowsiness to the point of never wanting to get out of bed and i have to fight not to take a nap constantly trying to convince myself that the 10-12 hrs of sleep ive been getting (it's the weekend; i do have a life) is enough. I was so worried i even got tested for anemia cause i thought that was is. it's not, weed withdrawal is just a b***h.

I'm on day four off it and I feel like I barely slept even though I had 9 hours... I have smoked pretty much non-stop (barring when at work) for almost 12 years so I don't expect to be in the clear any time soon. Might need some extra caffeine and exercise to push through it! ;)

For me the awful tiredness ended somewhere after 3 months after quit. I'm still tired (4,5 months in), but not as much as in the beginning.

I smoked for 4 years everyday, quit 3 days ago. day 1) tossed and turned in bed until 4am/intense dreams, day 2) drank a glass of wine which helped sleep/intense dream, day 3) exhausted now I feel like i can fall asleep immediately. Also, 5HTP is a supplement for during the day to feel better and melatonin helps for the sleep aspect. I've heard taking these supplements, vitamins, and exercise will help get us back on track within two weeks

Advice: for the first two weeks of quitting, take 5HTP in morning to curb depression and melatonin at night to assist sleep. First day or two, it is tough to sleep. Having a glass of wine helped me. Then day 3 start working out and you will feel very tired and it will be much easier to sleep.

After 4 years of smoking pretty much everyday, after 3 days of quitting (first two days are hardest), I feel a thousand times better, clear, HAPPY

You're an id**t, if someone is restless and not getting any sleep it therefore common sense they would be tired?
