Can thyroid cancer spread causing lung and/or bone cancers?
Depending on the type of thyroid cancer and the treatment for the cancer, chances that it spreads in other parts of the body can be pretty low or almost nonexistent. For example, if thyroid gland is completely removed due to biopsy confirmed cancerous cells, and post-op therapy with radioactive iodine to make sure there are no cancer cells left, chances for thyroid cancer to affect other organs are pretty much close to 0%. However, in cases when thyroid cancer is discovered when it's reached the later stages, there are chances that it affected nearby lymph nodes or even other organs. So, in short - yes, thyroid cancer can spread to other organs,
