Hi...

A yeast infection doesnt harm the pregnancy hun, tho if you fear you have one you should see your Dr. right away, how its treated will depend on where you are in your pregnancy. If an infection doesnt get treated it can fester, causing more symptoms and just generally get worse, if that happens, it can go into your uterus!! So call ur doc, k??

As for miscariage, it can happen at any time for several reasons from the very begining of conception to about 4-5 months, of course a miscariage happening that late is pretty unusual. Generally a miscaiage will occur within the first 12 weeks, if its going to happen.

I hope that helps :)

Good luck.

Part of that what is stated here is incorrect information, more so incomplete information, and by no means is any of this meant to scare you. However, in answer to your question: What the medical professionals, depending upon the country, classify as a "Miscarriage" occurs during the first weeks up till 20 weeks of pregnancy. There after it is considered a Stillbirth, and in some cases a birth certificate will be issued for babies lost only after the 25th week.

The risk of miscarriage or pregnancy loss drops dramatically at 13 weeks. I have heard it stated that 15-20% of all known pregnancies end in Miscarriage before the 13th week. This percentage has been stated by some, to drop to less than 5% from weeks 13 to 28. Then less than .05% from 28 till 40 weeks. In the later weeks of pregnancy, infections rate high as one of the reasons of pregnancy loss; as well as so many other things. Which is why prenatal care is so extremely important.

The good news is that while pregnancy can be a worrisome time, there are a lot of resources for parents or parents-to-be. However, becareful about how much you read on the negative things that "can" happen, as these tend to scare people more than helping people. There is no sense, and it is not healthy for you or your baby, to be constantly stressed out during your pregnancy.

Also, yeast infections are extremely common during pregnancy. This is because of the hormonal changes within your body during this time. Before you have it treated with over the counter medications, just double check with your doctor which they prefer or trust. While all OBGYN's are taught the same general things, some have different experiences than others and will give different information. Be certain to consult your offices nurse or other helpline they provide for any medications at all.

Also, ask your doctor about cold cuts and lunch meats, because they can cause problems during pregnancy and should always be heated till they steam or avoided all together, in order to avoid Listeria which has been known to cause late pregnancy death of the fetus.

Hope you have a wonderful pregnancy and congrats!

Wild Orchid, you can't even figure out how to post properly, and you continue to attempt insults. Perhaps if you weren't so bitter about something in your own private life, or lack thereof, you wouldn't feel the need attempt insults towards everyone on these forums the moment you start typing.

Apparently your mother failed to properly teach you that if you have absolutely nothing positive to say about anything, you should not be saying anything at all.

You really look foolish in your attempts to mock myself and the other posters here, and have been rude and insulting to those you are claiming you want to help so much. Thank you for once again showing your personal incompetence.
