Hi people. One of the most effective ways to treat Galbrata is with boric acid - I don't know if that's what I had but this method solved things. Google amazon noodle and boric acid you'll find long feed on amazon boric acid product and what to do. Essentially use ban Marie to melt organic raw cocoa butter, mix in boric acid (not as scary as it sounds - kind of like salt - as acidic as salt but same ph as vagina) store in capsules and insert - I'm not a doctor you can ignore this but it really helped

The doctors are clueless most of the time. Glabrata is not affected by all the standard anti-fungals. My specialist I went to put me into hospital for Glabrata and treated me with Cancidas intravenous. This got rid of it. But if I take antibiotics it comes back; and its always Glabrata. I had it in my vagina and in my bladder. The other stuff won't work with Glabrata. I have just had a course of antibiotics and its back again. I've asked my doctor what else I can do besides go into hospital each time for IV's. He has suggested boric acid suppository to try. I'll give it a bash, but at least I know that I can go into hospital if it gets worse. So there is a cure but it will need you to go into hospital.

Did the boric acid work for you? I'm having some made up for me by the pharmacy. Will give it a bash as soon as I get it.

My doctor wanted to prescribe this in a vaginal mixture. But we don't get it in South Africa. Well not in the form they need to make up a cream. They only seem to the have intravenous here.

I'm also dealing with candida glabrata infection. Can anyone please tell me what eventually worked for them? I've done diflucan, 7-day terazol cream, a round of boric acid followed by 2 applications of gynazole-1 cream (butoconazole 2%)... the boric acid followed by gynazole-1 helped some but then symptoms came back a week later when I got my period. It's making me feel very discouraged and depressed. Please let me know what got rid of it for all of you, many thanks!
