Hello , I have been smoking weed full on for 3 years now , i recently decided to give up and I am expericencing bad withdrawals like I feel sick in public places and I stress that if i am sick in public what will people think so i feel even more sick. how long will this last and what can i do to get over it ! any help would be great. Hi Ben, it sounds like you've developed some anxiety based on all the cannibis that you smoked. Therapy can help a lot, to be honest, because it sounds like you're suffering from agoraphobia. Have oyu ever gone?

Hey Thanks for responding. I have never been to therapy , what do they do ? and agoraphobia? could you please tell me what that is? Thanks again :)

Agoraphobia is a condition where the sufferer becomes anxious in environments that are unfamiliar or where he or she perceives that they have little control. Triggers for this anxiety may include wide open spaces, crowds, or traveling (even short distances). This anxiety is often compounded by a fear of social embarrassment, as the agoraphobic fears the onset of a panic attack and appearing distraught in public , Yeah thats it , and therapy could help?

Yeah, I definitely know that therapy could help. I am agoraphobic (still have issues to a degree) and a therapist can help talk to you about what the issues are that causes it. It's never what you thuink it is. For me, I found out about a lot of family issues I had not dealt with. Other people deal with issues of inadequacy or something. Do you have any therapists near you? It's always good to do a google search.

Hey again , so you are agoraphobic too? If you don't mind me asking how old are you? I have been thinking the idea over about going to a therapist and I think I should . But theres one thing I just can't understand , somtimes I can go out and Il be fine and othertimes I get this sick feeling in my stomach and i start to sweat because im always thinking Oh god im going to have a panic attack what are people going to think. It hits me the hardest when I am hungover , But if I don't think about it Im fine and can walk about normaly but to not think about it is so hard. So I don't know if I can solve this myself or see a therapist
