My 70 year old mother had a partial hip replacement surgery in right hip following a fall in bathroom. 4 days post surgery femoral fracture detected. Wiring of greater trochanter fracture fixation was done aftr 10 days. During this surgery, doctors noticed infection. So sent pus swab for culture.  Carbapenem Resistant Enterobactriacese E.Coli detected in pus, blood, and stool culture.

Debridement done after 7 days of wiring surgery. She wad put on IV antibiotics course of tygecycline and colistin. Colistin discontinued after week as creatinine levels increased. Was again started after a week gap. Administered it for 10 days and then restoppwd as creatine increased. 

Only tygecycline is being given for 6  week. 

I m worried if she will be completely cured of infection after this antibiotics course gets over
