My son had a cavity filled the other day, they used novicaine so he was numb. He kept biting/ sliding his teeth over his numb lip. Now there is a huge white patch on the inside of his lip and its s little puffy. Do you think this is just dead skin? Or do you think it could be infected? Also the next day he started running a fever and has flu like symptoms, which started before his dentist appt. do you think they are connected or two completely separate issues?

The white marks are from him biting his lip, nothing to worry about. It's a bruise.
As you said, his other symptoms started before the dentist appt. Odds are he was coming down with something at the time. Flu like symptoms and fever are not common side effects of novocain. The dosage he would have received is small and localized.

hi..nothing to worry..the biting of lip has injured n healing is taking place...so its swollen. n i think both r not connected
sometimes large decayed cavities can cause flu like symptoms. nothing to worry..just watch him so dat he will not bite his lip again. it will heal soon.
