cervical polyps removed during a routine pap without my permission, now I'm having trouble

I went in for just a yearly pap on Tue. When he was almost done, he said he saw some polyps and asked the nurse to get him something, and then the next thing I knew, he was taking off pieces of tissue out of me, it really hurt and caught me totally off guard. After about the 3rd painful stab, I asked him "What are you doing?" and he said he was removing polyps and went into some explaination on how he didn't think they were cancer and continued to take out tissue and put it in a jar. Then he switched instruments to this long, crooked sissor looking things and that hurt even worse. In the end he told me not to have intercourse for a week, that I would have some bleeding for a week and to come in for a follow up in a week. I have had 2 babies and surgery on an ovarian cyst in the past, but I have never left an office so shook up. I cried my whole way home. Well, today (3 days later) I had a large thing come out of me that I think is a cotton ball. I'm not sure, but it is about that size and it has that texture, but it is of course grosely soaked with old blood. and now tonight, I have found a few smaller pieces coming out too. I did find a new GYN that I will see on Fri., but in the mean time, I am worried because I really don't know what this guy did to me and now I don't know if I should worry about this stuff coming out of me. There is no way on earth I would ever call him, and since I have never been to this new Gyn, I can't really call him. I'm just not sure what to do at this point and if it is safe for me to wait a week before seeing the new Gyn. I know there is no way I can get in to see him sooner. They were pulling strings just to get me that Fril appointment. Has anybody ever heard of anything like this? I don't know for sure that what came out is a cotton ball, I'm just guessing. I know he asked the nurse for some. Any ideas what else it could be? I'm sorry, I know this is disgusting, I just don't know what to do at this point. thank you for any help you can give.
