I myself am 13 and experience the same thing. I've GAD (Gran Anxiety Disorder) so i've always blamed it on that. The chest pains are common and i probably get them 12 hours of every day. I'm used to that, but lately when i stand up my vision goes black and my head starts to pound; which this has happened to me for a few years now. Just recently every time i stand up i've been getting really hot and clammy feeling. My chest gets butterflies and i feel all tingly. My depression and anxiety has been acting up these past few days, pretty badly. I've been on medication for my anxiety/depression for a few months now.. i don't know if that's causing it? Which it's supposed to help but i don't know. :/

It''s been over a year since you wrote, I hope you are feeling better. If not, think about getting checked for epilepsy. Trance like episodes and anxiety attacks in your sleep can be complex partial seizures. It's not rare :)

Hello,
My symptoms are so mixed up. Two days before Christmas I was sick. So I was took to the doctor. She said I had bad bronchitis. Being close to pneumonia. She gave me Keflex 500mg. 3X a day. I couldn't even hold my head up. I started 3 days later that I couldn't walk from living room to kitchen. My legs feel like jello, chest pain, my sternum is imflamed, shakes and when I try to take a shower I feel like I'm going to pass out. I'm on another round of Keflex up till Wednesday and I'll be through with it. I was wondering what to do about a shower and my legs so weak. I would appreciate it if you would send me a response. Thank you so much.

Hi. I hope that you have been diagnosed properly and that you are feeling better. I am not sure that this will be of help to you but please look up POTS Disease. My daughter suffers severe chest (heart) pains with a pounding of her heart. Some "episodes" for lack of a better term are so hard that you can feel and see her heart thudding on her chest. It wipes her out after she has this and says that it feels like she has ran a marathon. She is in good shape and well conditioned as she is a softball player. She also has a high tolerance for pain, but this is excruciating to her. If the severity is very bad it knocks her out and she sleeps for several hours after an occurrence because she is so fatigued from whatever happens and the pain itself. We have been to the ER MANY times, 2 cardiologists, and several specialists. We visit her pediatrician regularly. Her other symptoms are dizziness, extreme fatigue, headaches, blurred and/or blacked out and/or spotted vision, low blood pressure, and "weird breathing"(that is how she describes it) She is almost 17 now and we have been dealing with this since she was about 14. She has many of the same symptoms of POTS but the result from the "Tilt Test" that is specifically used to diagnose the condition didn't show that she conclusively had it, although many indicators did match up. She was told not to go from a sitting to standing position too fast, exercise, and drink 8-10/12 glasses a water a day and see if her symptoms improved. Yes! Even with the above mentioned symptoms this was what we were told to do! And no - this did not help. My sister has recently been diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy. She has had all of the same symptoms for most of her life as well as countless tests including 3 heart Cathy and a few stress tests but has not been able to get the correct diagnosis until now. The damage is now so severe that she needs a defibrillator (I think that is what she said? It is a small implanted device that will shock her heart if need be) Her Cardiologist told her that it is hereditary and there is a good chance that her children and/or siblings and their children could have it and to get checked as soon as possible. We now believe our mother had it even though she was never diagnosed correctly because of the symptoms that she too experienced. Even though my daughter is under 18 my sisters doctor has agreed to see her so we are hoping that he may be able to finally help her. She has only seen Pediatric Cardiologists in the past.
