Some friends have recommended I go and see a chiropractor, but now I have read on the internet that chiropractic can actually cause a disability if they adjust you in the wrong way. Can you tell me anything more about this? Should I be worried about chiropractic? Please give me your thoughts.

Not as long as you are seeing a reputable chiropractor. I guess you should try and get a recommendation through a friend, who has used the person in question before, but as long as they are qualified I am sure that nothing will happen to you. Any kind of medicine is a weapon if in the hands of the wrong person, including chiropractic.
