I also just developed this problem. I have to wear panty liners. I have a yellow discharge with a bump on the inside of my vagina. I also have itching and a burning sensation. I have not made an appointment yet but, I am going to make one for next week. I am nervous about this and was also wondering if it was a bad yeast infection.

Did anyone get a diagnosis from the Doctor? I was diagnosed with BV, but also have two flesh colored, smooth to the touch bumps on my left labia. The Gyno said that it does not look anything like genital warts or herpes, and to try to ignore it. I've had these bumps for over a month now. They itch at random times. I have a yellow discharge also. There is no bad smell at all. Does anyone know what this could be?

I was misdiagnosed for years with chronic yeast infections. I finally was diagnosed with lichen sclerosis. Ask your dr. to biopsy it cause it can lead to serious problems if not treated.

I have the exact same symptoms, the only thing i do not have is that i have not got a swollen vagina. The itching is the most uncomfortable thing on the planet! I'm worried in case i make myself bleed. I have cleaned myself over and over again. I am very worried about what it could be, as i am only 16 and i am already having many problems with my cervix. I feel disgusting cause my pants have got yellow, clear discharge in them. I really do need some help, I'm going to the doctors tomorrow, so hopefully they will give me a answer, as soon as i know , i'll let you ladies now. It really is a horrid thing to to be going through, its driving me crazy and it seems to get worse at night.

I have it too! It's itchy, red, swollen, and just awful. I had a yeast infection about a year ago which was way worse than what is happening now. But ever since then it randomly gets all itchy and red and stuff. I don't use any medicine for it. I just wait for it to go away, which is usually after about a week. And I only shave down there like once a week, so it happens every few times after I shave. And i clean and razor and wash with antibacterial soap to avoid razor burn, which also gets very itchy

Hello I'm male so don't have a vagina. But I believe that I am suffering from the same problem. I will get a red sore/ichy region around my testicles. I tried thrush cream but it didn't stop it. I have taken to disinfecting the area and covering with a wound dressing and bandage. The wound dressing will have bits of yellow excretion on it. And the ichyness of it will dissapear for awhile. But I need to keep disinfecting and dressing the area or it'll flare up again. I hope someone returns with a more perminant cure because the ammount of dissinfectant and wound dressings I get through is insane and cost quite a bit. Best of luck for a cure. Please post what it is if you find it too.

Hey girls, I am the boyfriend of a girl who keeps having this as a recurring problem. We recently went to the doctor and got a response. the diagnosis was vague, but the tips seemed to help.

2 major things we did all at once, I don't know what helped but here goes.

Assess environment. Changing detergents for washing undies to herbatergent or ecos ... very soft soap
                               wearing more breathable gear
keeping tub well cleaned AND rinsed from chemicals ( we clear fungus, we rinse and dry twice )
NO using tub/tap water to clean the inside of the Vagina at any time.( Mildly heated drinking water=No chemicals/microbs)

The major :              Sex
No sex toys, unless cleaned thoroughly with a cleaner DESIGNED to clean them.
Careful attention not to get fluids from back to front.
And the kicker---- something that made total sense when the doctor said it.... Careful with the saliva! The saliva of the mouth is a                                very different makeup, and can easily cause a disruption to the delicate balance of the chemistry of the Vagina. Try to change                                 sloppy habbits while still enjoying the moment.

We keep clean sheets, and make sure we are not dirty, or have left over soaps after a pre encounter shower.... The problem
has altogether disappeared. The only things left are now cyclical like just  and bleeding, with the occasional senseless                                       argument ^  ^

I know it can be a little bit wierd hearing this from a guy, but it really began to torcher my girl, whom I love very much... and now that we have the issue taken care of, I thought I would pass the message along. I really think it has to do with oral fluids and microbial tap water more than anything else. That was the major change we focused on.

Hope this can help you. Oh yeah it was about 10 days-2 weeks before the chemistry was back to balanced, and it hasn't happened again in over 6 months. Good luck, and I wish you peace and rest.

If these are recurring symptoms and do not go away with antibiotics or OTC candida creams you may have something called vulvadynia- go to the doctor and tell (yes tell them!) them that is what you have. Unfortunately there is no cure and you have to do all sorts of stuff to keep it at bay. Diet plays a part. If you find it worse you may have drank soda or eaten something that your particular case doesn't like and the flare up will get worse. Anti-depressants are sometimes prescribed to keep you from being stressed out and sometimes the ordeal can cause depression. Botox injections in the vagina are also being used to relax the muscles. Sex is very uncomfortable sometimes and unbearable. This is obviously a fairly new problem but is happening to a lot of people. Let's hope more of us learn more about it and pray for a cure for this life altering situation.

At first I thought it may be the condoms drying me out and making me sore, then I thought the antibiotics gave me yeast infection...
But in my panties is this yellow gross looking discharge YUCK!

Its really dry and sore for hrs after showers, its itchy, it burns when I wipe, burns and itches when I pee, and I blot the itchy spots and it stings and theres blood from how raw it is, this is noo good.

I've had generally the same problems.. bad cramping, it hurts during sex sometimes really bad, deep inside itching, and I have gone to planned parenthood for it and it's always been BV.. an overbalance of bacteria and yeast in my vagina.. mainly causing all this.. Lately it's been really painful, and the front inside of my vagina is pretty swollen. So I'm going to the doctor soon.. I hate this c**p! Hope all you girls get it figured out and get better

I started getting this in my early 30's. It went away when I used Aci-Jel. It came back in my 40"'s, Aci-Jel relives it. I believe it could be hormonal as it goes away with my period then starts back gradual becoming horrible before the next period. Heat makes it worse. Doctors have not helped. I have only just started getting the discharge clear with yellow tinge, in past 6 months I'm nearing 50. It is NOT thrush but could be an skin allergy a dermatitis.

It could possibly be gentital herpes. Maybe a more mild case if there are no blisters. I read online that typically the itching goes away after 7-14 days. So for those commenters who says theirs went away, it could be that. According to the website, herpes is common in lots of people. Just because they don't show symptoms, doesn't mean they don't have it. And it can show face any time (more commonly when the immune system is low). And you male commenters, I doubt you have a yeast infection... but it is possible. My recommendations for you all would be first and foremost, see a Dr. Other than that, clean with mild soap and warm h2o, cotton underwear, lay off sex till itching goes away, and get a cream so it wont be so itchy Ans so you won't scratch it. Scratching makes the irritation worse and prolongs the healing process. Hope that helps.

My doc says it's recurring BV.  Sucks because it's recurring, but I'm T2 diabetic so it's one of the complications.  Only thing that seems to keep it at bay is to make sure to take a B-complex and B-12 vitamin every day AND 800 mg of folic acid (1000 when it's flaring up).  Still itches every night at 2 am, but it's not so bad that it makes me cry out in despair any longer.  If I remember to use diaper rash ointment (yes, really), I might get through the night without waking. Salt water baths help if it gets so itchy you can't stand it.  Use a pitcher or two (or three) of very warm water [no soap] to clean thoroughly after using the toilet, pat dry.  If you just HAVE to scratch, try rubbing hard instead -- it won't break the skin.

The bumps mentioned above are probably just boils underneath the skin.  Seems to happen at the same time.  Annoying and sometimes painful, but nothing compared to the BV itching.  But all the pain and itching are still better than Flagyl, the drug of choice to treat it.
