Cold hands

Oh my god I'm 17 and I'm exactly the same,
I get bright purple hands with orange patches when it's cold, and swollen veins when hot, allso my nose tip goes numb!
And ED is beating the sh*t out of my confidence. Hope there is some sort of treatment

I'm a 15 year old boy and I have the same problem. The only difference is that I have 4 different stages when it is cold.
1. Fingers go cold ( happens in most weathers though)
2. Nails go blue
3. Fingers loose all colour, turn white, go numb and hurt
4. Hand "falls asleep" and it is stuck in its current position no matter how hard I try and move my fingers. If someone else moves them they stay in that position. Even after re-heating, takes a while to be able to move them.

im a 14 year old girl and i have these same problems, my hands will get really cold (which is quite embarrassing because people always recoil when i touch them) and they turn a blue purple on my knuckles. I will wash my hands with a lukewarm water and my hands will feel like they are burning and have pins and needles (even if i have been inside for awhile). they will swell after and be really red but then turn cold again not soon after.

Hello there , I've been having this issue since i was 15, and started smoking , im now 23, and when ever i go out in the cold , my hand turn blue, purple, and Bright Bright orange, like the color of a orange itself! i have never met anyone in person that has ever had this happen to them, but im scared and nervous for when i get more older, it might be more serious! my grandmother always had cold cold hands but my father and mother, never had circulation problems in there hands. Mind you my hands are always cold, soo cold that i dont feel how cold they actually are!... untill i put them on a warm spot on my body. if i clench my hand into a fist i can put them under burning water , and it actually feels good! but when there really cold they ache right to the bone, enough to wanna cry and i have to place them under boiling water, to make the bones in my hands stop aching , mind u i dont know if all this is normal!?!?!.. i dont have a family doctor where i live, and im just curious on someones opinion out there?!?!

I get the exact same blue with orange dots (I'm 14), but sometimes it happens without pain.

I'm a56 yr. young woman. I have the same problem. All my life, as a young girl, purple lips when I'm cold, not even that cold (inside the house.) Right now it's 80 degrees and my skin is red and my reins pop. I don't know your height or weight? I'm 5'8 and 124lbs. My weight has always stayed about the same. I have a twin brother, he gets cold but not hot. His daughter is 30 and she's getting the red feet when it's hot outside. We are smart, raised in the country kids. Always ate good, did sports and were good at it. My doctor thought I might have Marfunds syndrome (I know I spelt that wrong.) I am very long limbed and a small rib cage. My Dad had Rheumatoid arthritis. He was 6ft7" and wt was 210lbs. I went to a Dr., he thought it might be my thyroid. My brother being over-active and my younger sister being under-active. But after the test all was well....... What bugs me the most is looking down at my feet at times and they look like they should be in a morg.

Actually, red and/or bluish hands can indicate a circulatory issue. My son is going through something similar with bright red, very cold hands and the pediatrician has referred him to a cardiologist. I expect he will also need to see a pulmonologist. If you guys are still dealing with this problem and haven't seen a doctor yet, please do so.

I am (16.) My hands are purople and it is spreading up my arms and I am not even cold though I have been under alot of Frushstashion and I even not eattien in two days so what do u think my problems Doc

Your not the only one that same thing happens to me, my hands get red and swollen and only my hands and they are cold to the touch which really freaks some people out.

The two fingers on my right hand won't get back to normal after being out in a cold weather. Does anybody have any suggestion what that is?

Hi. Can anybody relate? My husband has pain and discoloration in both hands daily no matter what weather is. Can anybody help with information? They look dead, and he finds this really embarrassing.
