I had my first colonoscopy at the end of 2005 and 2 pre-cancerous polops were discovered and removed in-situ - wonderful. Follow up 6 months another 3 small polops were removed, of which 1 was precancerous - they were identified at the 1st procedure, but left to be removed at the second.
A year later I have had a followup colonoscopy (with a new surgeon) and he removed 11 polops. My query is this - just how long does it take to develop 4-6mm polops. Can't help suspecting the first surgeon was not as thorough as the second
