Many years ago, when my husband was still a teenager, he was diagnosed with “leucocytoclastic vasculitis”. He was treated with some medication and recovered completely shortly before he started college.
Thirteen years later (this is 2 years ago); he re-injured himself after falling from a cliff while hiking with friends. No broken bones, only one particular large swelling and bruise on his right leg (close to his hips).
Immediately after the accident the same old symptoms from his old condition (leucocytoclastic vasculitis) appeared; that is sudden tingling and rashes in both of his feet but in a very small degree.
Since then however, his right leg bruise has never truly disappeared, and never thinking too much of it, these symptoms have only become more and more recurrent to a point where the tingling and rashes have expanded through his whole legs (at times), arms, abdominal area, but disappearing as suddenly as the appear.
Over the last six months, not only has this happened more frequently, but now he has sudden abdominal and chest pains, a strange pain right under random parts of his skin that disappears very suddenly.
Also, he has had random testicular pain from time to time.
The only other external factor we think could’ve created these symptoms (besides the untreated leg injury of 2 years ago), is the fact that we just came back from Southamerica, where food and water are contaminated and where we lived for 4 months. As careful as we were, it is possible that he might have acquired a virus or something.
He finally got a doctor appointment in 2 weeks. In the meantime I’m terribly worried. Any ideas of what the cause of all this could be?
Thanks in advance for any feedback!
