I had this too, constantly. I was recovering from a brain tumour removal, so went to see my neurosurgeon. He didn't think that I was having seizures, but just in case, he put me on anti-seizure meds and it stopped the twitching all together.

I doubt it seriously. I had the same thing. In my case I had a staph infection in my eye. There are probably many causes of it. It went away but has returned on an occasional basis.
