I've had this problem as well.  I thought if i just drank a lot of water it would go away, it helped some but the sensation came back the next day.  I finally went to the doctor and it wasn't a UTI.  They actually said it was a yeast infection and bacteria vaginosa.  I don't know if this is a common symptom  for either of them but after I was on the meds I felt better but it may have been for something different.

Hello i am an 18 year old male

I went to the doctor about a week ago because one day i woke up and i had this feeling like i constantly needed to pee and the feeling would get worst when I sat down. The feeling lasted 3 days after that i was fine for about 3 weeks and then one day after I had finished working out i went to my bed to lie down and listen to some music. after about 15 to 20 minutes i felt the urge to pee and i got up and went to the bathroom and relieved myself. when i came back to my bed i noticed the feeling of needing to pee all the time was back, after a few days the feeling got worst  and there was sort of an itchy feeling associated with it.

About a week or so later i was still having the feeling (except for the itching part which went away)and now the feeling would get worst when i sat and when I layed down so it was really hard to sleep and i would stay up super late so i could get so tired that i could fall asleep fast and not have to feel the annoying feeling for a long time. so I finally decided to tell my mom about the problem and she  scheduled an appointment. when i went in the Doctor tested for a Uti which came up negative and he examined my area and said every thing looked fine and told me to come back a few days later so he could test another cup of urine. well i came a few days later they tested my urine and checked my area and said everything was fine then he recommended me to a Urologist. About a week past and the problem got worst sitting down and laying down felt horrible so i asked my mom to let me go into the urologist. when i went in i took another Uti test and it came up negative and the Urologist said there was no bacteria.

She then asked me a couple of questions one was how my poop texture was. she took out a chart and asked me to tell her how mine usually was i told her that it was like the hard one with cracks on it she said that was important. she then checked my area then did some ultrosounds on my kidneys and my bladder and when she finished she said that there was a decent amount of pee in my bladder even though i had just pee'd in the cup for the Uti test and that my hard poop may be pushing against my bladder and causing not all my pee to come out when i went to the bathroom thus making me feel like i had to pee all the time. she said my hard poop could be from bad eating habits and not drinking enough water, which i had not been doing. She then recomended a stoole softner called Smooth Lax which i could get from Walgreens and she said i should take it every hour for 4-6 hours the first day then once in the morning for about 4 more days ( Dont take for more than 7 days the bottle says so). So the next day i did as she said and the next day the feeling reduced alot and i felt much better. for 3 days it went on like this then the 4th day the feeling came back almost as bad as it used to be but it still didnt feel as bad as it had before the smooth lax and at least now i could sit better and sleep without as much annoyance.

This week i went in for an X ray and another ultrasound and i havent got back any news but i do feel better and its easier to lay down but i still feel like i need pee all the time but i do believe the smooth Lax helped.

I have the same thing going on! I just found out today that I have another UTI its the 3rd one in the last three months & its always Enteroccus species 10,000-50,000 & I just started on Microbid twice a day. My symptoms have been severe my bladder has been in horrible pain and im peeing like every 5 min. 2 and a half weeks ago I had a worse UTI where i was peeing blood clots and it wasnt my period that scared me so i called the dr and i was put on Cipro that apperently didnt work because now here i am with another UTI this time taking Microbid this is getting to a point where its starting to affect my daily activties. Anyone else have this kind of infection any advise please?

Cranberry juice MAY help prevent UTI's but it does not function as treatment once you already have a UTI.

I'm seventeen and a female, I've been having this feeling of needing to pee more straight after going to the toilet but only a drop comes out.

Towards the end of peeing it's not a burning sensation but more of a pressure on bladder/stopped my pee in mid-flow sensation.... indicating that I need to pee more basically but nothing comes out!

So I saw a doctor exactly last week and did a urine test, cystitis apparently... so I got given a 3 day course of antibiotics for cystitis. They worked fine and felt better 5 days ago... until today lunch time the feeling was back BUT WORSE!

I'm currently on my period which started yesterday (it was late, not sure why!)...

It all started from having sexual intercourse with my boyfriend, who's my first sexual partner and I haven't been tested for an STI yet...

I'm not sure whether it's anything to do with STI's or cystitis or a yeast infection (which was the very beginning of all of this, around about a month ago... got treated though and didn't have any problems)

I have had sex two days ago and it was fine apart from my vulva was a bit sore. So I think this peeing sensation has something to do with sex... but what?!?! Is it a UTI or STI or what!!

And I have been having sex with my partner for 8/9 months so I'm not sure why these problems are all cropping up now!!

Going to book and appointment with a doctor or nurse tomorrow... just want this to all go away because it's the worst it's ever been. I don't think cranberry juice works for me...

Please. Help. Me.

Hi, I've been having this similar issue for 10 years now. It started at the age of 12,and I got it almost 4 times a week. I would have the urge to go and I would need to run. When I went only a tiny bit would come out. I couldn't sleep when I had it because I would have to run to the bathroom all night. I went to the doctors and they did numerous test, but they couldn't figure it out. 10 years later it doesn't happen as much but I have found that putting a hot pillow on my pelvic area and keeping warms helps. I gave up going to the doctors and have never had an answer to this. Maybe I should try going again since it is still happening 10 years later.
