My daughter and son-in-law have both been on methadone for over a year. They would like to get off. Their counselor has told them he believes they are not strong enough to get off and stay off drugs. He feels they do not have good coping skills. I have been searching the internet for ideas that might help them. I would love to hear from anyone who has weaned themselves off methadone and has stayed drug free. Thank you. :-D
