My father is 56 years old and he has just been diagnosed with glaucoma. I am so concerned for him, and he is not even aware of the severity of his condition. I have heard that vision loss can occur from having glaucoma. Is that true? How can we prevent it?

I assume that he was already given some therapy for his condition. He has to take it regularly, the exact dosage and that should be enough. Also, there are several types of surgeries that might be performed, both classic and laser, which might help, but only temporarily. I just hope that the meds will help your father too.
