My boyfriend has cysts on his left testicle and was told he couldn't produce children. Well I just found out I am 7 weeks pregnant. His doctor told him that if we continue the pregnancy that our baby will be mentally retarded. How true is this?

Oh my! Did you ask him how the two things are connected. What is he basing the mental retardation theory on. I would not listen to this kind of bogus information. Get to a specialist. Is there some history that would cause definite mental retardation without testing, etc. Perhaps you have more info that you've shared.
